Hey y'all, wish me luck. I've got an appt. with my doctor, excuse me -- with the provider my insurance co. assigned me to -- finally that I've been putting off making for a while now. I've been having this dull pain in my lower right side that's started to get worse in the last few days and I've also been running a low-grade fever. I'm kinda worried it might be appendicitis. Guess I'll know for sure in another couple of hours.

Mike - hope all goes well. Obviously, if its appendicitis make sure you get it taken care of before it bursts = peritonitis (sp?) - been there and done that when I was a kid. No fun!

Thanks y'all. I just got back from the dr's. I don't like this guy too much but I have no choice. He spent all of 10 minutes with me, then had his nurse take blood and scheduled an ultrasound for the 29th. I asked him if it were appendicitis and he said he didn't think so, but wouldn't give me any idea of what it could be.

Well that is good news, I guess if he thought it was something really serious the ultra sound wouldn't have been scheduled for two weeks away.
I hope you aren't too uncomfortable and in much pain in the mean time. Did he give you any recomendations of treatment?

new doctors, but after about 4 minutes in the examination room, she burst
out, screaming as she ran down the hall.
An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was, and she told
him her story.
After listening, he had her sit down and told her to go relax in another
room.
The older doctor marched down hallway to the back where the first
doctor was and demanded, "What's the matter with you? Mrs. Terry is 63 years
old, she has four grown children and seven grandchildren, and you told her
she was pregnant?"
The new doctor continued to write on his clipboard and without looking
up said, "Does she still have the hiccups?"
