I get mid winter depression, I am well acquainted with the black dog myself. I know that in time it will get better, as it always does each year. Hang in there my friend.

As zeb says ,he`s bowing out for a time .Because of depression ,should we leave him (or anyone else with this problem alone ) at this time ? or should we try to engage them in our social activities.

One part of me is we shouldnt leave them alone when they are so down .

The other part of me says leave them to sort out their own thoughts.

My fear is that in that state of mind they may do something that they can never take back.

Zeb wait for the white dog to visit as he surely will.

Smiddy stress can deplete the brain of neurotransmitters such as serotonin needed to combat depression. Sometimes what you need to get better is lots of rest to let your body build up its supplies again. Trying to engage in social activities when you have depression is a crushing burden, I know. Just letting people know you care but allowing them to rest is best.

(((( zeb )))) I hope the black dog doesn't visit for too long. Do something nice for yourself. When you can, let us know how you're doing.
