Hello, lurkers and curious. I imagine you're reading this because either you think you can defend your beliefs victoriously or you have doubts.

I have 2 questions that I hope you can log in and answer (no one will know who you are unless you tell them or leave your page open for others to see)

    1. What actual worship did you do at the meetings or gatherings?

    2. What do you actually learn or take away with you, in a 'spiritual' sense at the meetings or gatherings?

I await some very interesting answers...........please be honest with yourself.

Cantleave - Well, I just wanted to ask.....now I have....see if any brave souls come back with a reply.

That tumble weed will continue blow in no-man's land.

I guess the worship is the "singing" of badly composed dirges and prayers blessing the GB for all the work they do on our behalf - and where "Jehovah" is used as a full-stop after every sentence.

In our meeting yesterday I Lear ed how we are better than all other religions numerous times,

That we can avoid anxiety by begging God for help and that we should not worry about our financial struggles and just donate to the worldwide fund.

It sounds like I'm been sarcastic but that was actually our meeting yesterday 😕

Deltawave - So, the meetings are still the same old same old then!

I've thought about that question lately. What did I learn? It is almost like I have some mental block. The only things I really remember are things taught in Bible teach book. I guess because all the "deep" things I read are no longer "current truth". "Public" talks were just regurgitated Bible teach stuff. The service meeting was forgettable everytime they said amen. Being under mind control, you didn't realise that the Wt. was all about being loyal to GB. Example: Be Loyal to Jehovah and his Kingdom (the GB). Anything different was just filler. It just amazes me that when you look back, you can see clearly that you were under a "spell". Today I read scholarly works from Bible Hub. I could never go back.

I learned that I was in a super club that has all the answers to the most pertinent questions!

Just, we can't scrutinize those answers or we will be deceived by false knowledge and false teachers who dare refute mother! We mustn't lean on our own understanding because the flesh has fallen and only the "GUardians Of Doctrine" are immune to the darkness of this world!

We are special. Only we have the truth. Only we have the true love and if you don't like it then we'll kick your ass out the club before you can say 6-0-7!

Vin - It was the first thing that hit me when I left the corporation membership. I didn't worship, I didn't learn and I didn't feel upbuilt. I felt like god hated me if I didn't give him my money and time. Cult, cult, cult all the way.

Bonsai - the Guardians Of Doctrine are guardians of themselves only. when the spell of the mind control is broken it just becomes so obvious....it's like actually waking up from a dream.
