    Thanks for sharing, fellow enjoyers of all things delectable to the palate.

    I had no realization there were delicious aliments outside the realm of pasta, a staple for us from Middle Earth!

    Fish & Chips. Wrapped in paper, eaten outdoors with one of those little wooden forks, salt & vinegar.

    Probably just a UK thing.

    Not just UK but Canada too.

    Trying to find good fish today, not so plentiful.

    When I was in school, there was a Fish 'N Chip truck pull-up 1 afternoon each week across from school. Big, flaky pieces of Halibut and fresh chips drizzled in vinegar and wrapped in newspaper. Kids going every direction would be attracted from the smell alone. Best ever!

    @NJ501,

    I used to religiously reject McDonald's. I even turned down free McD food.

    Until I went on a trip to Paris with 2 (jw) friends and all we could afford, locate and enjoy for lunch and dinner was McD. Ever since I've been hooked, even when I realize it's actually garbage ;-D

    When I was in Australia, 20 years ago, I had fish and chips daily.

    The fish was in different forms -- loved the poached. Could not get enough of it! The smell wafting through the salty air had me doing handstands and somersaults . . .

    Well, sort of.
