...or until the Borg flips its understanding on such things to mean something else again.

My dad knew old Freddy Franz’s eschatology backwards and forwards, so I grew up thinking of the UN as Darth Sidious’ galactic empire.

Realizing it wasn’t much more than a toothless, jumped-up debating forum (with a charter that had clauses protecting religious freedoms, no less) was, in retrospect, one of my little wake-up moments.

Whatever suits the Borg narrative at that time, they will conveniently change their doctrine to suit their needs at that time.

They will piggyback the world events to suit their narrative when it seems fit to change their doctrine to lead people on and change their belief system. Things like the UN, wild beast, governments,, whatever. They change things up and then ask for old literature back to be destroyed for this reason.

But wouldn't that be something? If the LGBTQ movement was what initializes the Borgs downfall.

Something what the Borg rallies so vehemently against.

Something the Borg rallies against so heavily. The LGBTQ movement,,,and the Borgs stance against them could be the Borgs downfall.

    Wouldn't that be ironic?

The UN has more powers than you realize.

Reminds me of a similar outrageous case about a homosexual man who sued a baker in Ireland who refused to bake a cake with a message in support of same-sex marriage.

The issue went on for seven years but eventually he lost his case (fortunately) - but not before a lot of wasted time and money, and stress for the baker and his family. A business should be free to refuse custom without fear of being arrested by the police or dragged through expensive court proceedings.

Some law makers might turn on religion, but most of them with at least 80 IQ and some common sense understand how religions are a powerful tool in their hands. Although certain religions/sects might face persecution, politics will NEVER EVER NO CHANCE IN HELL turn on religion as a general concept, because that would mean casting away a potential way to control the populace. Why do you think religions like Islam and Christianity became so widespread on the globe? It wasn't thanks to their own power, but thanks to political entities spreading them around often violently so they can expand their spheres of influence. This is really a no brainer. Even the LGBT crowd has their own sects that they use to justify their ideology.
