Joy2bfree: where is that shoreline/beach property?

Teenyuck...Columbus eh? I am headed to Cleveland within the month. If I have time, I may go to Columbus, as I have never been there before.

Rayzor!!! Let me know when...I work from home and have a flexible schedule. We are about 2 hours south of Cleveland. I live on the N. side so it is easy access....Or, we could meet up somewhere in between! DanTheMan lives here also. We could all try to hook up.

Joy, that is a fantastic sunset. I looked all over for pics on Columbus; we have a skyline that looks like all the rest. The midwest if pretty much the same. No hills or valleys here. However, it is not a bad place to live. We are on a slightly elevated lot and off out back deck get beautiful sunsets. They are hard to photo though. Very nice to sit out back and sip wine and enjoy the beauty.

Pictures taken from Fresno county web page, virtual tour of Fresno

Water Tower (not to be confused with Watch Tower)

Meux home (Supposed to be haunted)

Tower Theater in Tower district (again, not Watch Tower District)

    Yosemite (not too far away)

Down Town (building on right is City Hall, used in Stephen King movie Tommyknockers as alien HQ)

I live in Northeast Louisiana, lots of pine trees, bayous, and lakes. It gets real hot down here and there is alot of humidity, in the summer we are so lazy because we are struggling to just breathe despite the hot air and non exsistant breeze. We have lots of bugs, oh the lightening bugs are beautiful and they are even admired, but the biting kind seem to multiply by the minute down here. Good southern people are never without their bug repellant , it is a must have. The trees are everywhere, shading us like a protective mother, from the intense sun, and the pines remind us all winter that spring is not that far away, when all the others tress have lost their leaves. This place is really beautiful despite the heat , it is something special about the bayous, the serenity and the solitude when you are out there.....you can hear your words echo thru the bayou as if everything was amplifed just for you. At night the frogs and the crickets sing you to sleep with their songs, and every once in awhile God will throw us a breeze now and then. Our children run barefoot most of the year, swim in the creeks , and love the faithful ole rope that flys them thru the air and drops them into the cool water below. Mostly that is what there is to do in Louisiana, stay cool and stay in the water...... that in itself is a full time job.

Le Bayou des Familles porte bien son nom : il y a même des toilettes publiques à l'entrée...

I keep trying to take a photo but the smog from the steel mills keep blocking the view.
