Could they perhaps have been worried about a disaster such as a hurricane or earthquake? When did these drills happen? Right after Katrina perhaps?

Not that having a disaster bag is pointless, in reality probably a good idea, but the implication that you'll need it when Armageddon comes is wrought with silliness and intellectual dishonesty, propagated by the fear mongering Watchtower Publishing house.

I guess those fireballs might scorch or bruise them a little. They might also get a little scratched up from walking through all that debris.

It`s kinda funny , but sad also , that a J.W. would think they would need a survival kit supplied by Satan`s world.?

So , they have no faith that Jehovah would protect them during this time ?

Having a lack of faith , wouldn`t that exclude them from surviving Armageddon ?

Maybe they are just hedging there bets , reading newspaper reports of J.W.`s losing there lives in accidents going to and from Conventions. If Jehovah can`t save his loyal worshippers from death by accidents going to and from Conventions how can they be expected to be saved by him at Armageddon .?

Actually the WTS realized how unprepared they were for annual disasters, such as floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc., when Hurricane Katrina hit in 2006 I think in Louisiana and the rest of the gulf. They literally lost track of manyt jws, locally etc.

So being reactive the WTS decied they needed to bring up the elders to speed. The WTS likes to pride itself on being better than secular/government agencies in handling disasters.

Ever since 2006, either in the WT or KM, the WTS tries to remind jws to have a basic 3-day go bat for local disasters, not the great tribulation or Armageddon.
