Now call me stupid (but not to my face), but I did not realize that if one types in, say, "patio34" on a search engine, my threads come up. Now, I knew this was a public forum, but not that someone from the "outside" of our community could simply eavesdrop on what I may have said.
I bring this up because I did start a thread about a person and that person could, if they suspected it, find it on the huge web!! They could realize this because my e-mail name is the same as my name here. @$^%$!!

I have brought this issue up before. You are unfortunate because you have a unique "word" as a handle. Typing in ballistic brings up 1000s of web pages devoted to ballistic missiles, people going ballistic and so on.
However, you can find just about anybody here including myself, if you do a search on <your name> Jehovah. (two words in the same search).
Thanks Ballistic. I had very little experience on the net before joining this board, otherwise I wouldn't have had the same name for e-mail and here. I'm sorry I missed your thread on it. If I had a different name here -- I may ask Simon about changing it, then someone receiving my email wouldn't make the connection.

On second thought . . . I am the only one because I used the same name as my e-mail. And answering and personal ads then would give a saavy savvy (I always misspell that!) user a lot more information than you may want.
