Much of the confusion about Witnesses could be avoided if people with questions about us came to us for answers.

So they can get our sanitized public-relations answers, and so they won't find out about all the dirt we try to sweep under the carpet.

If you were going to buy a used car, and you went to a dealer who told you to get all your information about used cars from him, and that you should not listen to anything that his competitors, former customers, the press or the Internet said about him, would you still buy a car from him?

From what I last saw it's about 1 in 1,000.

Neon, excellent point, and one that I have always agreed with. When looking at a product, service, institution, or whatever, one would always be wise to check as many sources as possible.

In the U.S, one of 280 people were publishers in August of 2002... not including people who did not return their field service report for that month or the inactives, children and 'adherents'.
