I remember one from the 1969 International Convention about
all the teenagers in this one congregation. Some of the kids were
very theocratic, others less so. Of course the one who was the
worst, a boy who missed meetings and didn't go out in service much,
ended up robbing a gas station and going to jail, or something like
that. Stay close to the organization, young ones!

In 1967 the City of Refuge drama was enacted at the Eugene, OR assembly. In one scene a man ran out across the grounds up to the guards at the city gates. The guard put out his shield to halt the man. What actually happened was that they collided and the running man fell over backwards!

That's the only big flub I remember.

I always wondered why at the 1968 assembly the drama about Jephthah's daughter didn't end with her being murdered as a sacrifice to Jehovah, since that is obviously what was meant if you read the Bible's account. I always wondered why the WTBTS insisted that sacrifice in that case meant a life of devotion in the temple rather than the actual loss of life. I also wondered why Jah never sent an angel to save her like he did Isaac. Another obvious example of the devaluing of women in the Bible.
