From the stat for meeting attendance, it looks like 15% of these participants are inactive JWs. 5% said they are "living with a partner" as their marital status, so they would be dfd, very faded, or never baptized. I think that explains how there were 14% that use common sense.

Interesting that 14% favored/highly favored same sex marriage - I wonder if cross-comparisons would show it is the same 14% who use common sense.
Regarding other responses, there is an impression they may have misunderstood the question. For example, the notably high percentage of repsondents who endorsed the item about not believing in heaven may be an artefact of believing they have "the earthly hope" and, therefore, not believing they have the heavenly hope?

I agree with you posters concluding that JWs in the Survey were likely confused with the questions. JWs definitely have a different mindset than the general population. So the question about whether JWs believed in heaven or not would produce a good number of yes and no's, when we all know the WT stated position on the matter.
Perhaps, the typical JW would answer: "It depends... if the ‘heaven’ reference pertains to whether most faithful believers go to heaven after death, the answer is ‘no.’ But if you ask us about whether some will live in heaven after resurrection, the answer is ‘yes.’ We also believe in the existence of a sky firmament (heaven)."

No wonder the WTS, is having such a hard time finding "capable men". When your religion consists of only 35 percent male, and within that 35%, many are older, not reaching out, not considered "worthy" by all their BS reasons, "unqualified" because of not speaking well, and so on, it leaves them with an even much smaller percentage of males, to draw from. Then you add to that, all the people waking up to TTATT, and they are screwed. -

It's striking that 48% of witnesses make less than $30,000 a year. That doesn't leave much for the contribution box. -
