Ballistic, yes, I completely agree with you. On the internet there are things you simply don't reveal to the general public, unless you're prepared for anything. I cringe when I've seen people post their phone numbers on threads - you just can't do that!
This is a public site, which means ANYONE can read what is posted here. I particularly don't want some loony just released from jail reading my personal details and making a composite picture of who I am. You just don't know who might be reading this.
