    I really love "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" "Little Drummer Boy" and "Oh Holy Night" as classic Christmas songs.

    Here is a link to not only find the lyrics but to hear the music to the songs as well: http://www.xmasfun.com/Default.asp

    Merry Christmas, good friends..... There is so much to be thankful for.

    Love,

    "Oh Holy Night" is my all time favorite Christmas classic. I love "The Little Drummer Boy" too...

    But for a more 'contemporary' favorite, it's hard to beat the Eagles' version of "Please come home for Christmas".

    Sara Annie,

    Welcome to the forum.

    Good choice. The Eagles do a fabulous version of "Please Come Home for Christmas". Another good song is Stevie Nicks singing "Silent Night". It gives me chills.

    I like all of them, but I can't stand "Having a Wonderful Christmas Time" by Paul McCartney! I think that's the name of it. He repeats the same thing over and over through the whole song.....I get tired of it very quickly!

    I love 'Hark, the Herald Angels Sing' and 'Once in Royal David's City'.

    I also like the Slade Christmas song 'So Here it is, Merry Christmas'(I think that's what it's called) and I like John Lennon's 'And so it is Christmas' (may have got the title wrong again!)

    As a week-end radio DJ, I would always play Elvis's "Why Can't Everyday Be Like Christmas" at this time of the year. Surpringly, I never got any flack from the friends, go figure. This song is hardly played at this time of the year by radio stations. It invokes to much human kindness and we can't have that in any uncivilized society.

    Nuttin' For Christmas
    Written by - S. Tepper & R. Bennett

    <!--StartFragment-->I broke my bat on Johnny's head;
    Somebody snitched on me.
    I hid a frog in sister's bed;
    Somebody snitched on me.
    I spilled some ink on Mommy's rug;
    I made Tommy eat a bug;
    Bought some gum with a penny slug;
    Somebody snitched on me.

    Chorus
    Oh, I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas
    Mommy and Daddy are mad.
    I'm getting nuttin' for Christmas
    'Cause I ain't been nuttin' but bad.

    I put a tack on teacher's chair
    somebody snitched on me.
    I tied a knot in Susie's hair
    somebody snitched on me.
    I did a dance on Mommy's plants
    climbed a tree and tore my pants
    Filled the sugar bowl with ants
    somebody snitched on me.

    Chorus
    So, I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas
    Mommy and Daddy are mad.
    I'm gettin' nuttin' for Christmas
    'Cause I ain't been nuttin' but bad.

    I won't be seeing Santa Claus;
    Somebody snitched on me.
    He won't come visit me because
    Somebody snitched on me.
    Next year I'll be going straight;
    Next year I'll be good, just wait
    I'd start now, but it's too late;
    Somebody snitched on me.

    So you better be good whatever you do
    'Cause if you're bad, I'm warning you,
    You're get nuttin' for Christmas.
