As our CO tell us yesterday, we must follow the truth so we are UPPDATEd to what is the present truth.
And todays "present truth" becomes what tomorrow? Does it cease being truth as so much else the Watchtower has taught? Perhaps, after a time of no longer being "the truth," will it too once again become "truth" again, as a few other "ideas" the Watchtower has?
Instead of all this digging and researching trying to out guess God and his Son on dates, I accept that no one knows when the end will come, not even Jesus. We won't know until he "comes as a thief in the night." Then, do you feel he will be seeking those who estimated the date of his return and failed many times? Will he be seeking those who argued endlessly whether or not he is triune in nature? WIll he be seeking those who let a loved one die over a simple procedure as a blood transfusion? Will he be seeking those who attened the most meetings and made the comments? Will he be seeking those who turned their backs on brothers and neighbors because they chose to no longer believe in "the present truth?" Or, will he be seeking those who love God with all thier heart and love their neighbors as themselves? (John 13:34, 35; Luke 10:27; Matt. 19:19; Rom. 13:9, 10; Gal. 5:14; James 2:8, 9) Those "present truthes" have stood the test of time and have never gone out of fashion, although rarely practiced by religion, especially the Watchtower.
