Have you ever done something so imbarrasing that you can't make yourself look back or even think about the deed for a very long time?

Several months ago, I had a real bad day. I was very bummed about my life and the losses I felt due to my JW experience. I started to have some drinks, got blitzed, came online and openly flirted with a poster here. I was so imbarrased the next day and the following months that I couldn't even go back and read what was said until today. OMG! I am so imbarrased and ashamed at dishonoring, not only the poster, but my family as well as myself.

I wish to apologize to any whom I may have offended or made uncomfortable that evening. This was so uncharacteristic and I feel truly terrible about it.

Just wanted to clear the air and say that I'm sorry.

    Regretfully,

    Chakka

Hey Chakky. It wasn't me, but I wouldn't worry about it. We all make mistakes, and usually when we do, we go on and on thinking about it, when the other one has long forgotten it.

    Keep smiling, such is life.

I am sure most of us have been there Chakka...lol I KNOW I have been!

I find laughing at myself makes it harder for other people to laugh at me So just laugh, learn and move on!

    Sounds harmless to me.

What really strikes me about this post, and others like it, is that the poster feels bad that they had a "spot"of misbehavior and really feel bad about it. That's what strikes me about all of the posters here: we really *care* about each other and don't want other people to be ashamed on our behalf. That speaks alot about us..

Chakka, Of course, I had to go back and read the thread you referred to. Sweetie, you have nothing to aplogize for. It was actually pretty tame and he responded appropriately. Now I have threads that I would give money to have destroyed, but hey, that's life.

Half the guys here probably wish they were the one you flirted with.

Seriously, it's very admirable for you to say what you just said Chakka, but if I were you I wouldn't worry about it.

    ChakkaConned,

    Great name!

The fact that you feel bad for what you think was inappropriate and are now appoligizing speaks volumes about who you are.

I would not feel bad anymore ,nor rack myself with guilt now if I were you. All of us here are the same! We are ALL imperfect humans and we've ALL done and said things that we felt bad about. So in reality, we ALL are you, in one way or another.

    peace,

    gwen

    Hummmmmm:

Well, now you have done it. There is enough here to form a committee and take appropriate action. We must keep the list clean. Just words, right, no touching? What was in your heart at the time? Describe in detail any "pornia" thoughts you experienced. Please expect restrictions for six months, no giving prayer before posting, no sharing in JW bashing for six months. Also, you will need lots of service time to get you strong again!

NOT! Hey welcome to imperfect humankind! There is always room for one more....
