    Hey Tman!

Those are the lyrics to one of my all time favorite Enya songs! Roma Ryan writes most of
her lyrics. If you haven't heard those words
set to music, you should, it's beautiful.

I forget which cd it's from but if you want to find out, lemme know I'll dig it up.

    Ez :)

    Ez,

    you got it!

I THOUGHT I detected something Enya-ish in you.

Hey, I was listening to Enya when she was "second fiddle"
to her sister Maire during her short stint in 'Clannad'.

The Ryans, Nicky and Roma saw something in Enya that was special...
so they struck out on their own in a studio near Dublin
    and the rest is history.

    Yep, I've got (almost)all of Enya's discography.

Can you tell me of any person who uses her VOICE
as an instrument the way Enya does...?
and the texturing and layering of that voice which is Nicky's talent... shaping it into such a rich mix...
and last but not least is Roma,
the lyricist, who if I'm not mistaken
writes All the lyrics for Enya.

    What a combination.

From the beginning of my turn to the ethnic music
of my ancestry - Irish Gaelic - I have never felt such
"ancient" feelings well up inside me as when listening
to the likes of The Bothy Band, Planxty, Clannad, Enya...
    and many others.

Funny you should mention Titanic, there was a "life Story of Jehovah's Witnesses" about a guy who became a JW who was one of the survivors on the titanic.

He went from one disaster to another ... go figure!

    Mr. O'Tally...

I THOUGHT I detected something Enya-ish in you.

That's quite a compliment, thanks! :) and you've never even heard me sing :)

You know, I've always been deeply effected by Roma's lyrics, they're what really attracted me to
Enya's music, aside from the gorgeous harmonies of course. I quoted from them
in the essays I wrote after my miscarriages, and that music was very healing for me...

I'll think of ya next time I put on an Enya cd :)

p.s. RR...you know I remember that story. Damned depressing if you ask me. To survive that
only to get sucked into the Tower...*shudder*
