"for Christ himself in his letters to the seven congregations chastised some congregations for tolerating wrong attitudes and teachings that existed in them"

What you foolish apostates seem unable to comprehend is that those letters to the seven congregation were addressed to the angels of those congregations, clearly pointing up a spiritual fulfilment in our day. This means it is quite beyond the power of you mere empty-headed buffoons to interpret the holy word of God. That is the privilege of the Faithful and discreet slave class since 1914

    [. And blah blah blah.].

[finish on a bloodthirsty quote from Psalms about hating enemies, rejoicing in their demise]

    [etcetc..]

    Hope that helps

    Awwwww 'come on guys........

It's posts like those from Know_You that really brighten my day! Reminds me of what I once lived under and how great it is to be free. Nothing like a occasional breeze of wretched stale air to help me appreciate the new freedom I now breath daily.

    Larc,

You are obviously deficient in your AD HOMINEM Argumentative Skills. Please read a chapter each of 10 different contributors from the Members roster whose names have been stricken and call me in the morning. We can cure you of this streak of humanity, given time.

Know this - soon the wicked man will be destroyed. A house divided against itself cannot stand. You obviously checked your brains in at the door along with your ego. What did you expect apostates to be like? Paragons of virtue and complaisity? The Watchtower was right when it likened apostate sites and literature to pornography. You're so hooked on it you can't quit looking at it, but you make the pretense of being disturbed by what, in reality, the Faithful Slave has warned against for decades now.

Does anybody else in here smell that.....

Amen! Galations 6:3 says, "For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deceiving his own mind".

"With that in mind I ask the board, do you sometimes feel like you just have to be the whose right.....the one who has to have the last word. Further, do you think this is a residual attitude left over from being members of the borg subject to the authority of the WT heirarchy who consistently demonstrated the same attitude?"

Of course, Out. With all that "we're right, they're wrong" dogma pounded into their skulls 5 meetings a week for years, they have to BE RIGHT. That means they will always have the last word. That is how Dubs see it. Somebody mentioned the "common heritage"; it does carry on.

In Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Pirsig talked about how the most zealous people in a cause usually have serious doubts that they cover up by their zeal. No one runs around saying the sun is coming up in the morning because we have absolute faith about that. If someone really believes in something they aren't threatened by opposing views. Maybe that's why some have to have the last word.

At least we now have the freedom to think and exchange views without fear of repercussions. Shoot, we even allow people like Know_You.
