Autologous transfusions are not permitted by JWs in preparation for surgery. But, having said that, I'd like to get any elder or Hospital Liaison Committee member to tell you why it's ok for you to take hemoglobin that comes from a COW (Hemopure) but it isn't ok for you to store your OWN blood for your OWN use.
Autologous transfusions are extremely safe, and will only be used if necessary during and/or after the surgical procedure.
