did anyone catch the study 2 weeks ago when in one of the later paragraphs dealing with jehovah blessing his earthly organization, they actually admitted that Jehovah had punished his earthly org in 1919? i thought that was very interesting because usually the society would not even bring that up? but it also brings up the point "what would prevent jehovah from disciplining his "earthly org" now for various wrong views and actions?

Ya but they're always real vague about what Jehovah "punished" them for. Regarding 1919, they try to pawn off this crap that it was because they hadn't "completely" gotten rid of "certain" babylonish teachings".......although anyone with an IQ of 50 and who knows anything about the background of the Organization knows that they still celebrated Christmas long after 1919, said that Jesus died on a cross, and that ALL Christians went to heaven.......geeze, I think they were closer to the "truth" back then, then now!
So if Jehovah in fact "punished" them for teaching false doctrines, why the hell did it take many years after that before the changed them? Was Jehovah still punishing them in 1920? 1922? 1923?
Perhaps we need a Watchtower Study on what's happening NOW. Is Jehovah punishing the GB for their horrific policies on child abuse? Well, I can't imagine that Jehovah would be too pleased with the freaking mess they've created, so ya, maybe He IS punishing them............

Maybe the Society is preparing the way for changes in the blood policy as being discipline from Jehovah for letting so many die needlessly?
Or for changes in the child abuse policy as being discipline from Jehovah for letting so many be hurt and stumbled?

I think the compromise they claim they were punished for was cutting pages out of the book The Finished Mystery and for some members doing alternative military service.
I am not aware of any other religion who's entire body of directors were put in prison and their headquarters closed. This compromise and loss of the ability to advance the interests of the kingdom was certainly quite the achievement. All accomplished during the time of inspection by Jesus.
They discarded The Finished Mystery book 80 years ago or so and now alternative military service is the norm. So if cutting some pages was a sin, they must really be sinning now, they have cut out the whole book. And now they do alternative service with impunity and have even joined the United Nations as a non-governmental organization.

On Sunday at the meeting, we will discuss how, in 1914, Jesus arrived at his house in Brooklyn. There he found his "faithful and wise servant" dilligently being faithful ...and wise, whom he subsequently "appointed over all his belongings". (put in charge of planet Earth)
On Thursday, we will discuss how, when in 1919 God came to his "spiritual temple" to cleanse it of all the "dungy" things. He needed to punish his "faithful and wise servant" for being unfaithful and stupid, and send them into "antitypical Babylonian captivity" (prison). Hence, God had their sorry asses thrown in the clink!
On Saturday night, at a JW party, I will sit in the corner and try to reconcile the two nonsenses.
