    Englishman:

I registered first on H2O, but was soon won over by this place. You know why?

Because it had the same feel as my old local pub back in Blighty! You could go there, enjoy some jokes and some good conversation, even have a comfortable disagreement, because you knew that people could be your friends without having to agree with absolutely everything you said!

Plus you knew that, disagreement or not, you'd always end up laughing hysterically and throwing peanuts at each other.

Mostly, the posters here are the same "comfortable" types.

I occasionally went to H2O, and there were some excellent posts. However, there were just so MANY posts, and so many of them were just filler-type stuff that I couldn't keep up with everything.

I finally got overwhelmed by the sheer amount of postings. I found this board almost a year ago thanks to Obed on WitNet, and the mix was just what I was looking for. Kind of like Goldilocks and the three bears.....this one was "just right".

I think it is interesting that Rick felt it necessary to compare numbers. Kind of reminds me of the WT quotas.
Totally unecessary. Like Simon said, different things appeal to different people.

It wasn't very long ago that Rick was patting himself on the back for joining in the ranks of another Coolboards site. That site was also "religious" but it was for the study of Wicca wasn't it? lol
    Englishman,
I tried to get the pic but it wouldn't show up, but by the number of edits you did, I can tell you made an effort I did catch those over on h2o though, very funny

Hi Old Woman! Eureka, I'm back! How you and the the Red headed lady Godiva doing? Good to see Ezzie, Ferkster and Uncle Rubberballs all coming around! Do we get charter member status for beating them here?

    G'day all,

You know the Aussies have had much to do with the yanks and although we kinda love their get up and go, we smile at their always wanting the biggest and the best. Remember those great big chromium plated Cadillacs they thrust on the world?

The Brits on the other hand are a bit more reserved, so size doesn't matter on their board!!

Remind me to never date a Brit! LOL!

BTW, Venice, every time I look at your picture I think "She looks like a pioneer". Thought you'd enjoy a laugh.

Hi Waiting! Good to see you!

I'm glad to see that the infantile exchanges of "did not, did too!" kind of thing aren't going on here. It just got too hard to weed out the good posts under all that stuff over on the other board!

I'm hanging in there healthwise, taking it a day at a time, thanks for asking! Hope all is well with you and I look forward to seeing more of your posts here. Always enjoyed them in the past!

    *hugs*
    Essie
