    If Satan snatched rulership over earth some 6000 years ago, why do we have the following archaeological wonders which the modern science finds it difficult to explain? To mention a few:

    1) 5,000-year-old coins that have been found buried in the United States; (http://www.news.com.au/technology/science/the-worlds-biggest-mysteries-scientists-still-cant-solve/story-fnjwl1aw-1227045377722)

    2) The Antikythera mechanism, an incredibly intricate analogue computer (that belongs to the period of BC) found in a shipwreck near Greece in the year 1900 which is actually a device used to determine the positions of celestial bodies using a mind-bogglingly complex series of bronze gears. (http://www.world-mysteries.com/sar_4.htm)

    3) Stone disks unearthed in China, believed to be more than 10,000 years old that tell the amazing story of spaceships that crashed into the mountains. (http://www.zmescience.com/other/most-amazing-unexplained-artifacts/);

    4) Underwater Pyramid in the ruins of megaliths in the so-called Yucatan channel near Cuba (http://www.diverdaily.com/7-underwater-wonders-of-the-world/)

    5) Ancient cave painting from Japan, dated to be more than 5000 BC, showing an ancient rocket ship. (http://beforeitsnews.com/beyond-science/2013/01/13-world-mysteries-without-explanation-2440676.html);

    6) Pumapunku (Pre-Columbian archaeological site in western Bolivia, South America), part of a large temple complex which is an example of monumental engineering, with stone blocks on the site weighing up to 400 tons, yet bearing no chisel marks, raising the question what technology they used to cut them and transport. (http://blog.world-mysteries.com/science/10-insane-ancient-achievements-that-science-cant-explain/).

    7) Ancient flying machines (http://www.viralnova.com/unsolvable-mysteries/);

    8) A 300 million year old piece of aluminum machinery found in Vladivostok (Russia) which appears to be manufactured. (http://beforeitsnews.com/beyond-science/2013/01/300-million-year-old-machinery-found-in-russia-experts-say-aluminum-gear-not-the-result-of-natural-forces-may-be-extraterrestrial-2440610.html)

    I asked him: “Where do you fit these wonders into—before or after the rebellion?”

    It’s now one year I put this question to him—he seems to be still doing research in WT Library!

    Sorry to bring this to you, but some of your sources are not reliable. Hence, perhaps your JW friend just thought they weren't worth his time to explain.

    That being said, there are very well proven cave painting that are dated back beyond the 6 thousands years, but than, JWs simply say that the scientists made mistake in the dating and that they rely on a superior authority, namely, the bible.

    Very interesting stuff.

    I asked him: “Where do you fit these wonders into—before or after the rebellion?”

    I'm surprised your friend didn't allude to 'crafty acts of the devil"! to explain away things that are baffling.

    No doubt your fwend is waiting on Jar Hoover or the Holy Holy Holy governing bods to come back with a retort. Your fwend must be pwaying his bum off....or......just ignoring it as 'apostate lies(tm)'.

    Wouldnt it be more interesting to ask about things that CAN be proven but dont fit into the biblical scheme of things...like 5,000 year old Bristlecone Pine trees that must have survived Noahs flood (which occured 2370 BCE according to their chronology)without so much as damage to the trees inner rings.

    I don't how up to date your 5000 yr old tree information is, and I am certainly not challenging it. However a J W would pay more attention to this from 1986.

    This is sound for as far back as the bristlecone ring count is reliable. The problem now comes up that the oldest living tree whose age is known goes back only to 800 C.E. In order to extend the scale, scientists try to match overlapping patterns of thin and thick rings in pieces of dead wood found lying nearby. By patching together 17 remnants of fallen trees, they claim to go back over 7,000 years.
    But the tree-ring standard does not stand alone either. Sometimes they are not sure just where to put one of the dead pieces, so what do they do? They ask for a radiocarbon measurement on it and use that as a guide in fitting it in. It reminds one of two lame men with only one crutch between them, who take turns using it, one leaning for a while on his partner, then helping to hold him up.
    Simple enough, like a defence lawyer in Court, in the face of condemnatory forensics you attack the credibility of the science...

    Ah, dirty lawyer tactics... a tried and true classic.

    It is hard to interpret silence. Just because someone does not reply to your message does not mean you have stumped them.

    They may conclude you are a lost cause or are too argumentative or not want to get caught up in a wrangle over topics that do not matter much to them. Not every unanswered query equates to the rightness or otherwise of the other party's views. Sometimes people do not produce the best evidence or reasoning to support their views.

    I recall as a Witness sometimes meeting householders who seemed so well versed in their particular doctrines that I just knew no matter what I said they'd have an answer. I personally found those sorts of exchanges mind-numbing and still do; but that's me.

    And I'm sure the opposite is also likely highly likely: Householders who don't bother to keep engaging the JW on their doorstep because no matter what the householder says, the JW has a well practised answer.

    To be "defeated" in an argument does not mean, ipso facto, the other side must be "right".

    I think the cave paintings in France and the ones in Indonesia are some really good examples to use. Both were dated using that fact that over the Paintings crystals were deposited and they can measure this very accurately because some type of products in the crystal that decays at a known rate. Another thing worth mentioning is the Pyramids of Giza and Several Egyptian cities and temples all existed before the flood and show no sign of water damage. Same goes with cities in ancient Sumerian.
