    aChristian,
I was giving a 5 and 6 year old viewpoint on the flood and the questions they asked. There are some serious holes in this story, even a child could figure out.

Yes it may not have beem global flooding but who cares we are talking about several people and several thousand animals living in a box for how long?

I was wondering about the rainbow, I am not a scientist, but isn't a rainbow caused by refraction(or some other scientific term) of light? How was it this never occured before the flooding? It must have rained before and the rainbow NEVER existed before the great flood? Any answers to this or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

    Mommy,

The rainbow is about the only thing the JWs can explain. They believe that the earth was surrounded by a huge canopy of water, so that tropical conditions existed everywhere. The sky must have been overcast all the time, hence, not enough light for a rainbow. When the flood came crahing down, and now "the skys are not cloudy all day."

What about hard scientific evidence. If god caused the flood by a miricle he could have done other stuff to help them stay alive etc etc etc. So what about Tree Ring dateing and Ice Core Dateing. What dose this show. But I geuess god could have fabricated this as well. Which calls into question his character. Whats he hiding from. Or maybe its just all bull$hit???

    Wendy,

The Bible does not say that rainbows never occurred before the flood. God simply told Noah that from then on this preexisting physical phenomena would serve as a reminder to all of His promise to never again bring this same kind of judgment upon Noah's land. I could cite other examples of God's use of preexisting items to serve as symbols of covenants. But I will end this conversation with you for now. At least until you explain why in the world you are posting links to pornographic web sites.

was the infant jesus ever conscious of his pre human existance whilst laying around in a dirty nappy? -- ICHING

Don't you reckon that if he had been, wouldn't he have been able to TALK as well? So, I'd say no, he wasn't aware of such a thing at that point in his life ... he must have been just a normal infant. Do we outselves have any remembrance of having been in the womb of our mothers? Of course not ... and neither did Jesus.--yadirf

[quote]Either way of going about it is a miricle, isn't it? Whether by Flood, or by "just wiping it clean" as you say ... a miricle both ways.---excerpt from Yadirfs Theories on Noahs Ark's Sewerage System

yadirf - maybe GOD performed a "wiping clean" miracle on the infant jesus' backside as he lay in his dirty nappy thinking about his pre human existance?

It would never have rained before the flood according to Jehovah's Witnesses. This is due to the so called fact that the atmosphere was much much lower and it covered the earth in a solid cloud. This lower atmosphere caused lots of moisture just like a greenhouse would. Ya I know it doesn't make a lot of sense to me either.

You know, I was leery to begin with in replying to your question about whether or not Jesus, when an infant, had any recollection of his pre-human existence. But, not being acquainted with you at the time, I went ahead to offer my honest opinion though, giving you the benefit of the doubt as perhaps being a serious inquirer. Now, however, you’ve made yourself plainly visible … you’re sole purpose is to be a lewd jerk, probably not entirely due to the repulsion you apparently feel towards Jehovah’s Witnesses.

So far, I haven’t observed you as having said a single thing other than what one might expect out of a delinquent out-of-control child, or a jailbird. Honestly, you come on like a person that’s suffering awfully from low self-esteem. There’s no way that you could be a father of children, you are too immature to have undertaken the responsibilities that come with married life.

In case you haven’t noticed it yet, the “just wiping it clean” (UO’s phrase, not mine) didn’t have anything to do with the animal waste problem that some presumed existed.

It seems to me that the only thing that you might really have a sure grip on ... is your playthingy. Then again, as judged by your recent exhibitions, I wonder if you can even handle that like a pro. In my opinion, you shouldn't even be allowed entrance onto this forum.

To all those who believe the flood story is literal:
Gen. 9:13 "I do set my bow in the cloud..."(KJV)
In biblical times a bow and arrow was the most powerful weapon available. A warrior who was at peace would hang his bow on the wall. If you believe the story is literal, you must believe a rainbow is God's weapon hanging on the wall of heaven and not a refraction of light caused by raindrops !!!

I know Wendy did not post that pornographic site on this board. She is not like that and I for one do not appreciate people posting under someone elses name. This is not ethical, and very disturbing. Especially such a disgusting thing as this.
