  Hardly a week passes without some story of a Witness who is suddenly
  enlightened as to the real nature of the organization. When this
  happens to an old-timer, it's very sad. Given the expansion of the
  internet, it's likely to get worse.

  Now combine this with the new found cruelty of the Watchtower
  leadership and what should we expect next? How far from thoughts
  about suicide are thoughts about murder?

  The Society is pushing fragile - and often emotionally unstable
  people into corners where they may simply crack up. In the past,
  an elder was not permitted to resign - now, you can be disfellowshipped
  if you give the wrong reason for doing so! Does violence have to occur
  to wake up the Watchtower leadership?

  The events of 9-11 were quite foreseeable, given the hatred that
  existed and the means were made available. While nothing of that
  magnitude may ever happen to the Watchtower, they need to consider
  that, just like a bear with cubs, hurting people's children can
  elict a primal response.

  A thought-provoking post metatron, and very accurate.

  With the usage of the Internet surging within the last decade or so, a mass exodus has occurred within the Watchtower ranks. They can no longer hide their hypocrisy and contradictions in anonymity, and the former members who were disgruntled or abused by this publishing company now have a medium in which to come together to share their stories, and learn that they are not alone. It is truly an intensely emotional experience for anyone when they learn that the Watchtower's policies and practices are commonplace, and global.

  That this publishing company masquerading as a religion is a farce, no better than the tent making faith-healers with empty promises. In fact, they are worse because they harbor pedophiles and murder/abuse children.

  When individuals who have dedicated a lifetime to this company are expelled simply because they question the actions of the organization which harbors pedophiles, it is only a matter of time before there is a response equivalent to "going postal."

  Repress people from the ability to develop a quality of life for themselves by discouraging education, and slaughter innocent children by means of a blood doctrine which vacillates every few years, and you are building the equation for someone with nothing to lose to snap.

  A good point Metatron. Paedophilia can bring out the worst in people on both sides of the issue. Here in Wollongong, our former Lord Mayor was murdered while awaiting trial on paedophilia charges. The murderer had suffered abuse as a child himself.

  Good point. An elder "stepped down" or "aside" whatever. Now, if an elder wants to stop being an elder, he has a decent chance of being disfellowshipped - unless he gives the WTBTS approved reason. Dangerous ground to dissent with the WTBTS - the fools actually believe they have God's power to hurt people.....like God burning people in Hellfire.

  As for this thread? An extremely serious subject - and one to tread carefully, imho. An unstable person, or a person pushed just too damned hard or painfully, doesn't need any encouragement to visualize violence. That ol' Fine Line ain't too far and it might be a short jump from visualization to action.

  On the other side.........my husband's commented several times to me his growing curiosity as to why the Watchtower Headquarters hasn't received any physical damage.....yet.

  Even sociopaths can understand the logic of self preservation.

  Bethel Lurkers! You need to let GO of people and stop this dangerous
  obsession with trying to punish! There are MANY depressed, emotionally
  disraught people in the organization who need to be dealt with
  kindly and CAREFULLY - because they may feel pushed into a corner where
  nothing matters - their life or anyone else's.

  I write this thread not to encourage violence but rather to prevent it.

  Remember Oklahoma City? IMO it would not have happened if the ATF murderers of children in Austin would have been brought to justice. Hey, the bible says, a life for a life. ATF got their wake-up call.

  The Witchtower has been breaking families, causing illnesses, emotional distress, suicides, and deaths for too long. Someone in one of these groups is bound to set an example sooner or later, but I am sure that the Publishing and Real Estate Corp. already has thought of this and has a spin already for this, and somewhow will benefit from it.

  The Society sent a letter to all bodies of elders in the U.S.
  saying that elders are not permitted to resign. The body must
  decide to accept a resignation. This may be a tactic to interview
  the elder and find out if he is embittered. Anyway,that's the standing
  order.

  Joe Anderson got df'd for objecting to his wife's treatment in his
  resignation.

  God is perfectly capable of working his will on individuals, and in fact has always done so. Any who buy into the "chosen people" scam based on the secular history of the Jews all tricked out as divine history is asking for trouble.

  The society must be brought down by any means possible.
