Vennie, I know Zep's stuff by heart, but not the names of the songs because I seldom play anything beyond the 2nd album (the end of their "heavy" period... #3 marked the arrival of the "acoustic" period). Some of them are obvious - Houses of the Holy has the song title in the lyrics, as do "In my Time of Dying" and a few others, and "This wasted land" could only be a reference to...

    "Kashmir".

    You're so near to Russia,
    So far from Japan,
Quite a long way from Cairo,
    Lots of miles from Vietnam.

    Sincerely.

Okay, try these. All from the same band, somebody'll nail that right off... you have to get the song right. Extra credit for naming the album.

    1.
When first I came to Louisville
    My fortune there to find
I met a fair young maiden there
    Her beauty filled my mind
Her rosy cheeks, her ruby lips
They gave my heart no rest
The name she bore was ???(song title)???
    The lily of the west

    2.
He will lead us all to freedom
    Never wear those chains again
Never wear those chains again, o Lord
    Never wear those chains again
He will lead us all to freedom
    Never wear those chains again

    3.
    A Dragon lives forever
    But not so little boys
    Painted wings and giant's rings
    Make way for other toys
    One grey night it happened
    Jackie Paper came no more

    4.
I bet on the grey mare
    I bet on the bay
If I'da bet on old ???(song title)???
I'd be a free man today

Sounds like an old English folk song although I can't quite place it.

yeah ... they have a few that sound very like Beatles songs too ... which is the one that the intro is exactly like a beatles song? (it actually surprises you if you hear one of them on the radio and are expecting the other)

    This is very beatle-ish
