Is apostate an appropriate term for us?

    Let's not forget that many JDubs are themselves apostates. How so? Because they have "stood away or apart from" their former religious affiliations. Ironically, the WTS literature is full of advice to members of "Babylon the Great" to separate themselves and come to "Jehovah's organisation for salvation" i.e. to apostasise.

    All of the Christianized Jews were Apostates. They left Judaism for christ.

    Paul, was a major Apostate.

    The ONLY time the word bothers me is when it comes from a loyal dub who says something like..."they are leaving the truth'and becoming an APOSTATE. When the dubs use the word.....it makes my skin crawl!

    The word doesn't bother me...however I'd rather be called GODDESS of the pagans!

    But I'd settle for just being callled Carol.

    No, that is not true. Apostasy must be understood in context. The Jews that still believed in the Law were apostate according to Paul and not as you suggest.
