I finally understand everything about you Larc. Here are a couple of things I should have long deduced about you, but your credentials now make it all the more clear:
Simon doesnt own this forum, you do. Simon is just a little pawn that you, O King of The Higher Intellect, have placed in order to make us pitifully less worthy grudges feel like we are being ruled by one of our own. You assume different personas in different threads to have fun with us and watch us writhe in emotional agony as you experiment with different ways to psychologically manipulate us. The light dawns on me! We are all your pawns in your twisted game of behavorial modification!
For instance, in my perfectly legitimate thread about societal use of a racist word, you deliberately hijacked it by assuming the persona of a screaming idiot, shouting profanities and basically deriding everyone who attempted to address the topic in a measured and reasonable manner, because you assumed that I was 'up to no good'. Then when you realized that really I was sincerely interested in an intelligent discussion and that any hint of it going down a racist, profane or otherwise trashy path would prompt me to take steps to have the discussion closed, instead of retracting your initial attempt, you went even further with your profanities and personal insults, as you now knew that I would definately entreat Simon to lock it down in the interests of keeping peace on the board. Oh, the cunning of your intellect. Oh, why, why couldn't I have seen it before? I feel so manipulated, so used.
Will you use that in your upcoming dissertation: Emotional Response to Antagonizing Forum Behavior? Mind you I know there is some other technical term you'd prefer to call it, but for the sake of my fellow pitifully less educated JDW members I will use the simplest title possible.
