Keep in mind that the the information might be dates because
of constant changes in the dept. names. For example: There is
no more Executive offices but are now called Administartive Services.

But the info I have should give you an idea of Ralphs current position.

He served as the overseer for the enitire 360 complex. All overseers
who were at 360 reported to him. He was also in the personnel dept-I
guess having an input of who stays and who goes and making policy. He
is also a "given one". He served at the whim of the governing body--
He conducts Family Watchtower Study and morning worhip on the
days a member of the gb doest (rotaional obviously)

    also:
RELIGIOUS ORDER OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES: giving particular attention to those
    in special full time service: Bethelites; missionaries; traveling overseers;
special pioneers; and assembly halls. Directors: P LaFranca (P); D Mercante
    (ST); P Molchan (VP); K Pulcifer; E Rosam; G Smalley; R Walls

    Hi Joy,

At the risk of hijacking this thread, let me say it's a delight to learn that we shared the same life for awhile, and that you and I doubtless have mutual friends. Cris Sanchez was for a time my roommate, and a real fine fellow (we shared a love for opera).

Back to the thread: It's still astonishing to me that the reality of personal dishonesty in the Spiritual Paradise forced their hand to this extent. The irony is piquant (remember the article, I believe, in Awake! ``A World Without Locks?")

    Hugs back, of course

Bethel here in Oz is like a Fort Knox. Surrounded by high steel grates with a 'pill-box' at the front gate with a 'sentry' on duty who records the license plates of all vehicles he has allowed in and out.

The Branch and dormitory buildings are fitted with locks, and security is a priority.

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

    Ozzie,

That's incredible! What could possibly justify such measures? have they gotten credible threats?

    Best regards, 215

    Hey Room 215,

    Yeah Cris loves his opera.

I visited the Puerto Rico bethel and they have 2 barb-wired topped fences around the perimeter with Rottweilers roaming between the fences!! Do those count as locks?

    Hugs,

Perhaps the Australian security has something to do with the Ozzie Kingom Hall that was blown up in the middle of a Sunday meeting back in the 80's.

We were told by someone who was at Gilead a few years ago that in some areas the congs have to pay 'protection money' to the local heavies and that this is OK'd from the top.
    Dont know if its true
