What is up with JWs? Lately, I've heard this line, "We don't judge . . "

But, doesn't everyone judge? Honest. This is an excerpt from Brian Berry, who is being honest.

Nobody likes that statement. But it’s true. Try as you may to NOT judge others, you WILL do it. I do it. We ALL DO IT all the time. Guaranteed.

    • body weight, shape, gender, age (so and so is fat cuz of this habit)
    • socioeconomic status (that guy drives that car cuz he’s a “rollin’ in it”)
    • religion or faith (only a fool would believe such and such)
    • job (I shoulda known… that’s surely why they behave like this)
    • passions (only xyz kind of people like to do that)
    • hobbies (because they do this, abc is true of them)

And those are just a few of the judgements we make every day. Some are spoken. Some are merely thought. Some directly affect our actions and some are so subconscious and ingrained in us that they shape us in ways too subtle to identify directly."

And, when a JW puts on their guilt trips, aren't they/WTS judging?

"We've missed you at the meeting." (Judging, you should be at the meetings.)

"True Christians" (Judging, this is the standard you must attain, or be deemed a non-Christian).

    Oh, but they don't judge . . . .. . .

JWs are the some of the most critical, judgmental people there are.

They can't see it because they are in it. Step away even slightly and the caustic environment of what constitutes a JWs world is unnerving at best.

They also say they have "the Truth."

    It's doublespeak and it's doubleplusungood.

There is a difference between making an appraisal of a person and judging them. We can rightly assess a person's worth as an individual and make an assessment of their qualities, good and bad, without judging them.

When we become judgemental we are quite often condemning a person because we do not like what they are, we do not like what they stand for, or we do not like what they look like. Our opinion of them is something we should keep to ourselves in that case. It is simply our opinion, which is probably not worth a lot.

JW's are judgemental, and they simply do not allow for the opinion of others as having any worth whatsoever, it is their way or the Highway.

Once its realized that the JWS faith is wrapped around a frame of fear of possible death, is it really surprising they would be so

judgmental onto non believers (Ex-JWS) or even other Christian based faiths ?

    .

    You obey or you die

You remain loyal or you die

You remain subservient to the direction and control presented or you die

Combine that with pressing guilt and you create very anxious judgmental people

    .

Oh yes lets not forget the self imposed naming of themselves TRUE CHRISTIAN WITNESSES, unlike any other

defined Christian faith in the world.

THats all they do is judge, all other christians are in Satans Org, if thats not judging what is, missing meetings judged, service judged, grooming judged, thats what this religion is based on. Outword works and judgeing everyone for and about them.

Is this "we don't judge" a new JW catchphrase?

If they believe most if not all things not associated with their organization is controlled by the Devil then they will judge everything. Everything from the weather, the way people act, world news, and etc. As soon as they even meet a person who is not a witness, they instantly try to connect every little thing to Satan. That person may have done a simple mistake but witnesses will think in their head "they wouldn't be doing that if they were in the organization". And that person over half the time didn't even do anything wrong. I agree that we all judge continuously but most jws always judge at an extreme.
