Of course science has provided us a clue to actual origins of Human Development Surprising how few people today are ignorant to these details:

    Not the biblical Eve

Owing to its figurative reference to the first woman in the Biblical Book of Genesis, the Mitochondrial Eve theory initially met with enthusiastic endorsement from some young earth creationists, who viewed the theory as a validation of the biblical creation story. Some even went so far as to claim that the Mitochondrial Eve theory disproved evolution. [ 37 ] [ 38 ] [ 39 ] However, the theory does not suggest any relation between biblical Eve and Mitochondrial Eve because Mitochondrial Eve:

    • is not a fixed individual
    • had a mother
    • was not the only woman of her time, and
    • Y-chromosomal Adam is unlikely to have been her sexual partner, or indeed to have been contemporaneous to her.

estimates of the age of the last common mitochondrial ancestor continue to be refined. A recent estimate (March 2013) from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology shows that Mitochondrial Eve lived about 160,000 years ago (within the reserved estimate of the original research) and also that the non-African humans were separated from Africans about 95,000 years ago. That's from the Patented Watchtower School of Overacting for Dramas, as developed during the long years of live stage dramas at assemblies, where the actors had to gesticulate wildly and over-emote so we could tell from a distance who was talking (err, lip-syncing?).

This may be slightly off-topic, but I want to say something about skin-color and verisimilitude in movies.

    1. Movies aren't real unless they are documentary.

    2. Movies are a kind of artistic simulacrum or interpretive opinion made from materials OTHER than reality.

    3. Mel Gibson's THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST went as far as I want to see a film go toward authenticity.

    4. Romans didn't speak in British English, but damn if I don't prefer Brits to play those parts in historical films.

    5. Zombies are dead and yet they are hungry. Go figure!

    6. We DON'T KNOW the skin color of the majority of people who lived on this earth throughout history.

    7. There is no such thing as the "origin" of skin color any more than there is the origin of the color chartreuse. Color

is the way our brain interprets certain micro vibrations of light.

    8. In order to properly appreciate a movie you actually have to understand the intention of the Director, best obtained from an

    interview.

    9. Biblical films are all always fictional, imaginative, interpretive and bollocks.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming!

But surely it would have made more sense if Ham's descendants gradually acquired the color of their skin over many generations. It's the sudden jump from white father to --poof!-- black son that is so comical.
