Navytown nailed it, Authoritarian/Totalitarian regimes, be they States or religions, have to relax the rules and the control, or eventually the Berlin Wall of Control gets ripped down.

The WT/JW Org seems to be making the silly error of tightening and increasing Control, even the mind-controlled R&F sheeple will only take so much, when the Freedom available is so obvious to them, on the other side of the Wall.
