The thing about religion is that it can change doctrines on a dime to suit themselves then proclaim god has still chosen them and the organization which they have developed.
The other thing worthy to note is that a religion that has a publishing house operating at its focused core, is most likely to change or twist doctrines as it tries to self support itself and the WTS has certainly done that.
The quandary the WTS. is now striving to endure is that its professed doctrines all throughout the 20th century were false professed doctrines commercially appealing for the proliferation of literature, yet the organization is still proclaiming that god through his holy spirit is guiding the organization. .......... ummmmm that's good Bullshit

Honestly, they'll get out of that mess as the oldz who know die off. I mean really, if you knew the outright crazy crap (even in terms of 1800's crazy) they were teaching back then, there's no way Jesus would pick them to even scoop dog poo.
Really, the steam engine was the Biblical leviathan???? A good bit of the thought at that time was batshit crazy. Whatever "spirit" was directing that I seriously doubt it's the right one.
