That's impressive, but I have seen a far more rapid evolution in lounge lizards who, upon hearing the sound of the family car entering the driveway with the missus at the wheel, have shed their slothfulness and turned off the TV, opened the curtains and windows, sprayed airfreshener at 100 paces and feigned being in the middle of vacuuming the crumb-laden carpet.
Lounge lizards who succeed with this eye-popping rapid transformation are usually fitter thus increasing the odds of their survival. Those who cannot get off the couch are soon stone dead.
