ptt7000 mentioned, "...Bible Students but they are strictly bible..."

Except for when they ain't, right? Like accepting CTR's impression that the pyramids at Giza were the FIRST bible and that the dimensions of the great pyramid was the basis for selecting 1914 as a "significant" year.

I will agree that the Bible Students seem to do a better job following the Bible's suggestions about how a Christian congregation should be organized and run. The pre-Rutherford Russellites used to have a similar structure, but after angels whispered new instructions to Joe Rutherford, that changed. In a totalitarian organization, you CANNOT let the flock select their shepherds, can you?

ptt7000 added, "I find they don't believe in evil speaking or gossiping about each other."

Too bad, really. If they had some stones back in the day they would have thrown JFR out on his ear and history would have been changed, but those limp-wrists didn't want to resist the Holy Spirit that was putting the adulterous drunk at the top of the church, just under Jesus. SO spiritual! So humble! So weak! Are they weak today? Who knows? They won't "evil speak."
