Beautiful Dreamer, in one of the Mirror articles the father states he will do whatever is necessary to save his son and is willing to leave all medical decisions to the medical team. At one stage he said his religion is important to him but his role as father is more important. Since the article was first published, he sure has not come forward and stated that the article misquoted him.

I guess time will tell whether and to what extent any of his comments have been taken out of context.

wow very interesting, even though some questions:

can we trust the media ? It often tends to quote out of context, or gives misinformation.

How will his congo react ? After all, it could be ground for a judicial comitee, he kind of opnely denies an important part of JW dogma.

Anybody knows witnesses who know this family ? Would be intersting what impact this article has locally.

" The Kings’ eldest son Danny had earlier defended his father Brett, due to appear in court on Monday at an extradition hearing with wife Naghmeh.
Speaking to leading local Spanish paper Sur as he left the hostel where they were arrested with the five siblings he is now looking after, the 22-year-old said:
    “My parents are not kidnappers.
“They just want the best for our brother Ashya with an alternative type of treatment to the one he was receiving at the hospital in England.
“It might seem like madness what we’ve done coming here by car from Great Britain but it’s got nothing to do with the fact we’re Jehovah’s Witnesses.
“When they operated on him two months ago, we agreed to them doing blood transfusions but thankfully it wasn’t necessary."

Bro. King is a strong minded individual who , it seems, is prone to speak his mind and hang the consequenses. But if he wants to downplay this when he gets home, if the elders start sniffing around, he only has to say that his comments were taken out of context and of course he would never do it...(those jackal reporters will twist anything you say!) The dubs have a low opinion of the journalist profession , having been often misquoted themselves.

An elder acquaintance told me that they are reluctant to take action in a parent/child situation , because of the emotion involved ....

    Good news..
" Brave Ashya King finally had his first bout of hi-tech laser therapy as it was revealed his brain cancer had not spread.
The five-year-oldwas said to be showing a “lot of improvement” and a top doctor said he had been “smiling and moving his hands and limbs”.
Tests were carried out to check whether traces of the disease had passed to other parts of his body, but the results came back negative. "

sad part is that if he allows his son to have blood transfusions he's going to find himself locked in a room with a pack of business-suited wolves wanting his blood for breaking gods law. hes gonna end up disf. so much for being devout jws
