    notice how that lovely jgnat didn't jump in and make a comment on the OP, she's clever ;) - and anyway, no doubt, like me, she's probably been following the letters page in the Globe and Mail this week! LOL!

    That's all folks!

    I'm too cheap to subscribe so I won't chime in on the article. Blondie you are so right that no-one knows the hour so a speculating Witness is indulging in futile activity.

    I recall Pinker's explanation that extreme terrorist groups have a built-in expiry date. To remain terrifying and thereby noticed, they become ever more extreme until even their supporters distance themselves. I think the most positive outcome would be if the Muslim majority rallied to crush these bullies.

    new concept for you ;) you go and buy a newspaper :)

    So the nasty side, making assumptions and judgments starts.........

    Actually, I subscribe to a daily newspaper at my own expense....$277 a year

    The only other local paper is online...free of charge

    I read the BBC News, CNN news, and a few other non-english newspapers

    BTW I live in a large university town that carries the hard copy of the newspaper with that article

    Proverbs 18:13 New Living Translation (NLT)

    13 Spouting off before listening to the facts
    is both shameful and foolish.

    @blondie

    it was more a light hearted comment in view of what Da.Furious had said prior to your comment, that's why I used both a smiley face and a smirky face to keep things light <sigh> and jgnat was honest ;)

    Slapping a person and telling it is a joke is not funny, not to me.

    I had a brother in law who hid his nastiness behind his, "Just kidding!" persona. Smiley faces don't cover it.

    BTW Blondie is the most straightforward and honest lady I have ever met.
