The 3 Pines mystery series by Louise Penny, featuring Chief Inspector Gamache, taking place in Quebec. There are 9 of them, her 10th coming out later this month. Start with "Still Life", but warning, don't be hungry when you read these, the food descriptions are mouth watering.

George R.R. Martin's the Game of Thrones is as entertaining as it gets. Start at Book One.

P.S. Ladies............ he does his female characters proud.

Close runner up and a faster read is Joe Abercrombie"s The Blade Itself (The First Law: Book One)

The Later starts the action in the first paragraph and by page one your on a trip. Has three books in the series.

Read the reviews at Amazon........people this is like money in the bank when you have great reads lined up.

PS there is no turning pages to get to the more interesting stuff. It's on every page.

I am presently reading Doris Kearns Goodwin book about Teddy Roosevelt and President/Chief Justice Taft. It is well written but knowing a few basics about Taft and Roosevelt would certainly help.

Yay!!! All sound interesting! Except maybe that NCLEX business..........

    Hi Sooner!

I just finished "The Devil in the Marshalsea". Picked it on a whim, but turned out to be just fantastic!

Now reading "River of Darkness Francisco Orellana's legendary voyage of death and discovery down the amazon". Good so far.
