Had a pretty deep conversation with my 'still-in' wife.

Came home from some business, read some more in C.of C.

Then my wife is sick and will not make the meeting tonight...

So we're are both home listening in to the meeting on the phone together.

It's been about a year since I've been to/listened to anything.

    So weird.

And I'm posting here with it on in the background.

Don't worry though, she only keyed in "1 listener", so I'm not actually in attenedence.

    Little bit...

I can't believe we believed all that.

Listening to the comments during the bookstudy and hearing my old "friends" speak is a little spooky, I must admit.

Once I heard the speaker say something ridiculous (to me) and I actually laughed out loud--at the KH. My mother was sitting next to me and slapped my hand, which made me laugh even more, given that I was in my 30's. Once you've broken free, it's hard to grasp that you ever believed that stuff and devoted your whole life to it.

Sorry you had to hear it again.

    I'm listening now.

    This is crazy.

    Little snippets of chaos.
It's like no one is confident in what they are saying, so they try to over explain to make it sound believable.

Out of curiosity, why do you listen, Kairos?

    I don't listen.

    This is a rarity.

I am being respectfully quiet while she listens.

I phoned in for the announcements.

Impressive stats for the AP's for the Greatest Campaign Ever. (In August yet).

This is the first time I am hearing that you can stay at home and still tune into the meetings by phone!! live in South Africa so maybe we do not have that here!! my sister's kids would have told her (she does not go to the meetings) and she would have told me.

They must have a lot of sick people staying at home! wonderful don't have to get dressed up and go out - I think jw would still tune in because they would feel guilty if they do not.
