This is like saying you go to a school where nobody knows what they're supposed to teach, and you're tested on these subjects, except none of the teachers know it.

Well, it sounds like you'll have a hard time reasoning with this person, but you can always point out the scriptures about by their fruitage you will know them. Don't waste your energy though, it's not like there's a way to reach everybody, some people just prefer to lock themselves in the bathroom and tell you there's a fire place in there.

"Sounds" like your attempting to have a confrontation with someone who either only studying with jw’s or recently baptized or fairly new, (1 to 3 years). In either case it sounds pretty much the norm for someone new.

The scripture by itself would be invalid. That would be suggesting that god is deliberately causing the WTS to have evil people in it. It would also mean the God would be causing every other religion to have evil in it not to mention all other forms of cults. There is a big difference between “causing” something evil to happen and “Allowing” something evil to happen. God obviously allows evil to happen. If your friend is a jw with at least SOME seasoning he/she would use words along those lines rather then what you quoted.
This person informed me that this proves that we are in the last days, because if people believe that there are things wrong with the organisation they will leave and many will discredit it, showing that Jehovah is weeding out the goats.
This to me anyway sounds like a typical jw-newbie response.

This is another classic sign of a newbie. If they get stumped too fast or get frustrated with the questions they will pull this classic answer out. It’s like a sort of lifesaver to help them out of the conversation.
Your friend may not be so new as a jw but they are obviously not paying much attention and will probably fall away sooner or later anyway so why bother to argue with them.
Obviously the WTBTS is God's Organization, this is evident because of the "invisible" return of Christ in 1914! LOL!
