i think WT interpretation about the rev. Mystery great babylon is too general, saying that is all false religion..... From reading revelation, it looks more specific because it says, it is the mother, ( maybe origin or root ).... What's your view ? Thank u and hoping for ur replies

I feel Babylon the Great refers to first century Jerusalem, which was destroyed in 70 AD.

Why "mystery babylon" was the term/code used in revelation.... Because God's enemies were able to hide the rituals, deceive, and fool billions of people by making them believe that they are worshipping the statues of the real God, and real Mary... Wer infact they are worshipping the BABYLONIAN,PAGAN,SATANIC GODS... Semiramis/ashtaroth queen of heaven/Ishtar= MAMA MARY QUEEN OF HEAVEV ................ a mystery... I speak as a former 30 year JW (disassociated). I have studied and led studies of the "Revelation Climax" book many times. I have read and studied many times the Revelation publications previous to this book.

I have concluded after much research and prayer, that the Watch Tower organization is in gross error about The Book of Revelation. Gross error.

In fact, ALL who have written about it and attempted to explain it has it all wrong.

The Problem: They are all applying the events of the book of Revelation to the wrong time period. That time period being our time today and/or in some near future time period.

I submit to everyone that if the events God gave to Jesus and Jesus gave to an angel and an angel gave to the Apostle John is for the time period AFTER Christs future 1000 year kingdom ends, then it would mean that nothing in that book has had a start of being fulfilled.

That would mean that there is no Wild Beast; no image of the Wild Beast; no scarlet-colored Wild Beast; no False Prophet; no 144,000; the war in heaven has not occured; and no Babylon the Great. None of these things and the other things mentioned in the book has arrived and is yet future.

Why Do I Say This?

Because Jesus says at Revelation 1:1, "A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place."

Shortly take place ...

The Apostle John wrote down the words he heard almost 2000 years ago. He is dead and buried. He was a slave of Christ as there were many slaves of Christ back then after John who would eventually have the Revelation in their hands to read. Yet, Jesus said to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. Two thousand years is shortly. One thousand years is not shortly. Five hundred years is not shortly.

When Jesus said "to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place" he was referring to a time period when ALL of his slaves would be present, alive and together. The only time period that this could be would be when he resurrects all of mankind into his paradise as he promised at John 5:28-29.

All of mankind is resurrected into Christs paradise on earth, his 1000 year kingdom over the earth in which Satan is Abyssed over its duration. Remember, Jesus promised a condemned man who was not his follower that he would be in his paradise. (Luke 23:43)

If all of mankind is resurrected as Jesus promised and they all stand up alive again within his 1000 year kingdom on earth. They will be taught to be his loyal subjects (slaves) over that 1000 year time period.

What is interesting is not what happens during Christs 1000 year kingdom over the earth (as we are not given many details about what happens within it), but happens AFTER it ends.

Revelation 20:7-8 tells us:

"Now as soon as the thousand years have been ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison, and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Ma′gog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea."

Satan is released from his prison and let loose upon all of the nations of mankind who have been made righteous and fully restored to God. Since Christ kingdom of 1000 years will have ended, mankind in those future days will not need a mediator. They will be as Adam was in the beginning: One to one in communication with their Creator.

What Is Revelation a Warning About?

Thus, Jesus is giving a warning to his slaves as to what is going to happen SHORTLY after his 1000 year kingdom ends! This makes since.

In fact, that is what his disciples was asking him at Matthew 24:3! Many persons do not want to see it but his disciples was asking Jesus what sign would indication the beginning of his kingdom and they were asking when that kingdom (his age) would end. A beginning and an end.

When Christs 1000 year kingdom ends, Satan brings up with him his Wild Beast (Satan's throne on earth) and it MUST be established on the earth. Satan's throne will exist over the earth for quite some time as it takes time to "establish" thrones. (Revelation 2:13)

Yet, his throne will be one of "peace and security" and the masses will not initially know that he is behind it. In fact, they will think that those Christ entrusted with the earth after his kingdom ends (his kings of the earth) are still in charge and in control over it.

Satan's Wild Beast will have an image. This image is no visible statue or emblem. It will be a Constitution or written document by which all in the world will agree to be governed by. (Just like the US Constitution is an image of the United States).

Satan will have so throughly misled all of mankind in those future days and they will be living in a paradise and in a safe and secure world, they will view the Wild Beast as invincible and will not want to see it go. They will declare:

"Who is like the wild beast, and who can do battle with it?" (Rev 13:4)

That the Wild Beast is a throne can be seen from reading Rev 13:2. (Notice what the dragon gives the Wild Beast)

Therefore, nothing mentioned in the Book of Revelation has arrived and nothing in that book has had a start of being fulfilled. Nothing. What many believe at present is all wrong and no matter how hard they try to make it fit within our time frame today, it will not fit.

One cannot consult the books of Daniel, Jeremiah or any of the other Prophets to make sense of the Book of Revelation. This is a big mistake. Why?

Because the Most High God gave the revelation to HIS SON! Thus, it is only to his son that we turn to and listen to. (Luke 9:35)

It is very tempting to believe that the book of Daniel - for example - has something to do with The Book of Revelation, it DOES NOT. This is a snare to mislead you.

Who will Babylon The Great Prove To Be?

Though Babylon the Great has not arrived yet and will not arrive until after Christs 1000 kingdom ends, a look at her characteristics gives us a clue. Babylon the Great looks exactly like the Wild Beast except it is scarlet in color, it has no crowns on its horns. This beast comes to be in a diseased state in that it becomes FULL of blasphemous names. (The names I will go into in another post).

So what are we looking at here? We are looking at the Wild Beast in a debased and drunken state with no throne. (No crowns on its horns). We are seeing the Wild Beast about to be destroyed. (Read all of Revelation 17).

The Woman that sits upon Scarlet-colored Wild Beast are the kings of the earth (those who were kings with Christ for the 1000 years) in a spiritually drunkened and misled state. Collectively these persons will have had a lot of influence over the nations of mankind in those future days. They will be well known because they has previously served as kings and priest with Christ during his 1000 year kingdom.

Satan will have enlisted them to serve within his Wild Beast throne. Rev 17:12 reads:

"And the ten horns that you saw mean ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they do receive authority as kings one hour with the wild beast."

These kings (woman) will sit upon many waters (peoples). That these kings (woman) sits on top of the scarlet-colored wild beast shows that they are the visible human rulers of the Wild Beast that governs all of the earths population in those future days.

All of the talk about all religion being Babylon the Great is way off base.

Re-read the Book of Revelation but this time read it with an open-mind and with the view that:

The events of the book do not see fulfillment after Christs 1000 year kingdom ends and Satan is un-Abyssed.
The "Kings of the Earth" are not political kings but those Christ promised would be kings with him for the 1000 years. (Rev 1:5; Rev 5:10, and Rev 20:6)
Shortly take place can only be when all of his slaves are alive and together, not spreadout over different epochs of time.

I believe the book was written after 70 ce so its not jerusalem, so either john was talking about Rome most likely or Babylon which was still one of the most populated cities at that time with a lot of Jews living there.

I think it's all a bunch of crap. Why would the God of order write something so shitty?? No one can be right or understand it. The WTBTS says that sometimes, prophesy can only be understood as it happens... Uhhhhh....O-kay?!?!?! XIANITY IS A SCAM.

"Ding!' We have a winner! It is all a bunch of crap- but you have to do a lot of research... to eventually realise you have been wasting your time on a bunch of crap... Bart Erhman gives a good explanation of Revelation, as do Catholic Church scholars and people like Elaine Pagels. The factual explanation is very boring really, which is why fundies like to spice it up.
