Actually it is. Those of us on the left side of Canada don't really care at all about the french on the other side. (This is the second biggest country in the world lol)

sadly, neither side did treat surrendering fighters always well.
*In the British part of Columbia, they even have a city named after the battle of lady smith.
Canada is better as a destination then a base from which to project military power.
that is what it is for me, a safe haven, with palms, vine & figtree. had a pineapple survive. perhaps banana? over winter? well sheltered? growing a bunch?
paradise is just around the corner.

Is the exchange rate in Canada this bad??
It was annouced today that Canada is preparing to increase it's
commitment in assisting the US in it's war against terrorism.
They have promised to commit two battleships, 6000 armed
troops, and 60 fighter jets. However, after the exchange rate is
factored in that comes down to a canoe, two mounties and a
flying squirrel...
I'm sorry, I didn't realize there are so many jokes about Canada...
I'm sure you folks have a lot of jokes about us..LOL
Last year a guy from Canada came down to get away from the
cold weather, we played golf for two months while he was here.
He had a lot of jokes about the U.S A.
So when he come back this year, I will be ready for him...LOL

Exchange rate? You remember the recent economic downturn? Canada fared better. Today we are 94 cents on the dollar.
Fruit, well that is a different matter. We have all the bush berries, crabapples, and Saskatoon berries.

You remember that Canada held the fort in Afghanistan until very recently, right? Our PM took a lot of flak for the body bags coming back. Our army may be comparably small, but it does not lack in courage.
