I think each decade has its pros & cons and this decade is no different .
The pros , for this decade are the advancements in technology giving more & more people a better quality of life , , medical sciences and practices that make life more bearable for those afflicted with illnesses , just to name a couple.
The cons , for this decade are / or can be the very things we take for pros. A more affluent society where more young people / children have access to this growing technology and are not emotionally equipped to handle the use/ misuse of this technology and see the consequences of their actions.
Examples : Nearly every child has their own phone , teens & pre teens , with availability to take photos , text , internet , tweet , instagram , etc.etc. which enables them to go anywhere in cyberspace to do or investigate anything they like without parent / adult supervision .
Pre-teens as well as teens have access to porn and the ability to sextext messages and photos to their equally inquisative peers and boy/girl freinds
And we are now only seeing the tip of the iceberg with this problem worldwide and what havoc it will bring before it is brought under control.
That is a major con for the children and youth of this decade .
