Jehovah' Witnesses use Matthew 24:14, and their world wide preaching work, as Proof, that they are the only "Organization" that is doing Jehovah's Will.

What if the Good News that they are preaching is a false good news or as Paul would call it "a different good news"? Is there any Value to a World Wide Preaching Work, that is preaching a false Good News? Or should that entire work be accursed?

See this scripture from the New World Translation.

Galatians 1:9 - "As we have said before, I now say again, Whoever is declaring to you as good news something beyond what you accepted, let him be accursed."

Accursed - from anathema (from 303 /aná, "up" concluding a process, which intensifies 5087 /títhēmi, "to place") – properly, place up, referring to something pledged(given up) to destruction; a divine curse/ban ("accursed"); an "oath-curse."

This same word, anathema is used at 1 Corinthians 12:3 - " Now I would have you know that nobody when speaking by God’s spirit says: “Jesus is accursed!” and nobody can say: “Jesus is Lord!” except by holy spirit." - He was accursed to Death.

To be Accursed is a very serious matter. For this reason, it is of great importance that the Correct Good News is taught.

In Galatians 1:8, Paul says " However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond the good news we declared to you, let him be accursed."

When Paul said "we" he is Referring to himself as well as the Apostles. Since Paul and all of the Apostles received the Message of the Good News from Jesus, a Christian at that time would naturally trust all that they said. He warned against this, and then he Drives the point home by saying "an angel out of Heaven". This also solidifies the fact that there can be no "New Light" Regarding the Good News. It must remain exactly the same as it was received From Jesus, and placed all throughout the scriptures.

The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses today, claim the Apostles were the Governing Body of Pauls time.. So with Paul's words it is clear that REGARDLESS who is teaching the Good News.. If it is different then what was received, from Jesus , that individual or that Class should be Accursed.

Romans 16:17 - " Now I urge you, brothers, to keep your eye on those who create divisions and causes for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them."

Christians whom care about theit relationship with God, should avoid any Apostate Organization or Individual that teaches another Good News.

Many Jehovah's Witness individuals understand the true and proper Good News, with Relative Accuracy.

However the Good News that the Governing Body is teaching, and the Good News that fills Billions of Magazines and Books, published by the Watchtower is indeed a different Good News..

When discussing this issue with A JW friend or family member, often times something interesting will happen.. You will both have the SAME understanding of the Good News, which is made clear in the Bible.. But you will have to Prove what the Watchtower is actually teaching! It's a very strange phenomenon, for someone to agree to the correct message, but disagree that the organization teaches some thing different.

I will be examining Current and recent Publications, and point out all of the errors made and the lies that are being spread all through out the Earth regarding the Good News. It is my hope that some will be helped to show their Friend or Family members what the Watchtpwer is teaching as Good News.

    Will there be survivors?

Zeph. 2:3: “Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger.”

Rom. 10:13: “Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”

Ps. 37:34: “Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, and he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see it.”

John 3:16: “God . . . gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.

    • By using these scriptures, they are implying that only individuals that "Call on the Name of Jehovah ,and that "exercise " Faith in Jesus will survive Armageddon.

    Babies & Children Destroyed

It also reveals that in times past when God destroyed the wicked he likewise destroyed their little ones. (Num. 16:27, 32; Ezek. 9:6) God does not want anyone to be destroyed, so he is having a warning sounded now to benefit both parents and children. Would it not be wise for parents to pursue a course that would result in their children being looked on with favor by God both now and at Armageddon?

    • This implies that Both Children and Parents alike will be Destroyed at Armageddon.

Will the destruction be forever? - Matt. 25:46: “These [who refused to do good to Christ’s “brothers”] will depart into everlasting cutting-off.”

2 Thess. 1:8, 9: “Those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus . . . will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction.”

    • By quoting these 2 Scriptures, they are implying that those destroyed at Armageddon, are cast into the Lake of Fire. (No Hope of Resurrection)

SUMMARY Nothing is stated, but it is implied by the use of Scriptures that only Jehovah's Witnesses will survive Armageddon. With this reasoning, that ONLY Jehovah's Witnesses will survive, it is indicating that Every one that is not a Jehovah's Witness will die in Armageddon. This Includes non JW's as well as their Children & Babies. They then imply that any one that DOES NOT survive Armageddon is Cast into the Lake of Fire.

According to this reasoning.. At the Conclusion of Armageddon Jehovah will Utterly Annihilate, 7 Billion of His cherished Human Children (Including Babies & Children), and 7 Million Jehovah's will Rejoice and Skip And Dance into Paradise, praising the Sanctification of Gods Name.

This Rejoicing over the Annihilation of 7 Billion Fellow humans can be seen in the July 2014 Study Edition Watchtower

The removal of Satan and his world at the great tribulation will likewise be followed by a victory celebration. Faithful survivors of Jehovah’s day will cry out: “Let us be joyful and rejoice in the salvation by him.” (Isaiah 25:9) What exultation there will be when Jehovah’s sovereignty is vindicated and the earth is cleansed for peaceful habitation!

I guess there has been New Light and Ezekiel 18:23 is no longer Valid?

    • Ezekiel 18:23 - " Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?"

    A few notes :

    • They are stating that Matthew 25:46 (Sheep & The Goats) is a Judgement that takes place at Armageddon, this statement is false.. The Judging of the Sheep & Goats is at the Fibal Judgement which takes place at the end of the 1,000 year reign.
      • Through their own Doctrine they, prove that the Judgement of the Sheep & Goats is not at Armageddon.. "46 These will depart into everlasting cutting-off, but the righteous ones into everlasting life.” - Acdording to the JW doctrine , the Great Crowd does not receive everlasting Life until they have been Judged at the end of the Millenium.
      • In Revelation 19:21 - It is clear that no Humans are cast into the Lake of Fire. Rev 19:21 - " And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received the mark of the wild beast and those who worship its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulfur. 21 But the rest were killed off with the long sword that proceeded out of the mouth of the one seated on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh." Notice the Words "But the Rest" this Seperates the fate of the entities of The Wild Beast and the False Prophet, from the actual humans that are mislead.
      • Revelation 20:10 shows that there are only 2 entities in the Lake of fire at the end of the Millenium - "10 And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulfur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet already were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
      • If Jesus comes the second time to Judge and destroy the Sinners, how does this scripture fit? Hebrews 9:28so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

The JW version of the good news is not even particularly good news. It's akin to telling someone who lives in government housing 'good news, you're house is being knocked down to make way for private luxury homes that you have the opportunity to buy' Well great, if you can afford it, but chances are you're soon going to be homeless.

Dear Obtruth, I think you have a simplistic view of how "Christianity" developed in the 1st Century, it is evident that Paul had his Christology, and the Apostles in Jerusalem another, rather different one. Paul had little regard for their views if they clashed with his.

Having said that, your main point is so very, very good. If you could get a JW to actually study what Paul taught as Good News, and what he said it consisted of, with no added ingredients, they would have to admit that his own concise explanation, that the Good News was "Christ Resurrected", and nothing more, was correct.

"Paradise Earth", 144,000 only going to Heaven, and of course all the WT "New Light" are not found in Paul's Teaching.

The WT are Masters of "going beyond what is written".

Paul was considered a 'apostate' by Jewish Christians. He sort of operated like so many chalatans do by cutting off open discussion and debate. He had to take his road show to an ignorant Gentile world to find any acceptance.

I don't think of Paul as a charlatan, I see him as genuinely believing in his Damascene experience, and his later voices and visions, but as developing his own brand of "Christ" , who only was loosely connected to the Jesus that the Ebionites and other Jewish christians followed, who himself was invented by them, and only loosely connected to any historical "Jesus of Nazareth".

But for Bible believers like the JW's and others, his words cannot be ignored, and have to be made to fit with other scriptures, despite the conflict between them, as shown in the O.P above.

"Galatians" is a real problem for such people in many ways, as it highlights Paul's unique beliefs and teachings, and is also at odds with the Gospels and Acts as to events that happened.

You can believe in your own experiences and still be a charlatan- think of Freddie Franz of Pat Robertson. Paul's ideas went over like a lead balloon in Roman occupied Jewish territories. To the Gentiles, who knew little of Judaism and its messianic ideas, Paul found an easy gullible audience.
