Courtesy of Watchtower87, the May 2014 KM has an announcement on page 4 as follows:

"Beneficiaries of a government program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) may apply to serve as temporary Bethel family members or temporary volunteers. When answering questions regarding citizenship on the application, these individuals should identify themselves as DACA beneficiaries."

So, does this mean that the WT is offering the privledge of service (free labor) at U.S. Bethel to a new group? The children of illegal aliens/undocumented workers who are also not in the U.S. legally?

    According to Wikipedia:

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”) is a memorandum authored by the Obama Administration on June 15, 2012. It was implemented by the Secretary of the Department Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. It directs U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to practice prosecutorial discretion towards some individuals who immigrated illegally to the United States as children.

A grant of deferred removal action does not confer lawful immigration status, alter an individual’s existing immigration status, or provide a path to citizenship.

LOL, it's not really for children, it's adults that came to the US illegally when they were children. They can't be any younger than 15.

    Still seems a bit opportunistic.

I found nothing indicating status as a volunteer influences DACA deferment.

Illegal immigrants make great laborers. The WT is cashing in on their free labor. Yet it won't let them serve as MS or elders.

Anyone have a clue yet about why wts is interested in this? Volunteer status seems to not be mentioned in the eligibility criteria.

Is this why Bethel is rumored to be laying off everyone over 70 as DO and CO's?

They must be getting desperate for Bethel volunteers.

I know that in areas of the country that tend to have high percentages of illegal/undocumented (choose your preferred Fox News/NPR term) immigrants, many of the (mostly Spanish) halls often have difficulty finding enough brothers that qualify for privileges because so many are illegal/undocumented. Looks like their kids are free-and-clear to be used at Bethel now, though.
