But we would have to really define what religion is. A lot of people, including professionals, regard it is a cult and not a religion..ditto scientology. So would we allow the Church of the Blood let's say, (fictional) one that uses symbolic fake blood sacrifice to exist? Most likely not. I know that Atheists tried to get Churches going but were refused recognition because it goes against the concept of what leaders believe religion is.
I say tax them if you don't want an out and out ban...but also let's be fair and make sure that all religions including Wicca, Atheism and anyone else tossing their name into the ring also gets a fair shot at tax exemption, privileges and rights afforded all other religion. sammieswife.
