    Hey,

    New to this site, YIPPEE!!!!

Has anyone heard the story about the possesed Smurf doll that got up and walked out of the Kingdom Hall?

A sister swears this is true. It disturbed me.

Has anyone been a Witness to this event?

    Welcome to the board JamesG.

You'll have to get Valis, our District Overbeer to answer that question. He's in charge of the smurfs.

    Have fun here.

They only do that when they have to answer at a meeting, hear kingdom songs played backwards, or sit in on Judicial Committees...

That story has been around for years. It changes a bit now and then, different state, different King-dumb-halls etc. Another popular one has the witnesses out in field service that come upon a creepy looking house. They knock on the door, and a strange voice says “come on in”. The brave witnesses go in and there is either a lady or man floating above their bed. The older Witness says the name Jehovah out loud and the woman, or man falls to the bed. Deamons run from the name Jehovah you know. In some stories the younger witness or sometimes its an un-baptized bible study runs off never to return; Oh-dear.

Over the last twenty or so years I have heard about 3 versions of the Demon-Smurf-Doll walking out of the hall and about 4 versions of the floating woman / man. Yep Watchtower urban legends are lots of fun, as long as you remember they are also lots of bull too.

Everyone has heard about it, but so far, I haven't actually met anyone that saw it. [8>]

It's just another runaway JW superstition/myth.

Another Smurf story was posted here a while back, I can't remember by whom. It goes like this:

As you know, like humans, there are some demons that are worse than others. Well, one particularly bad demon inhabited a smurf doll. He was not contented with simply disrupting meetings. No, this smurf was actually a rapist.

One day, he cornered a sister in a private place, and began to rape her. She started to cry out, but he threatened her. Eventually, she submitted, and he finished his ugly business.

The next day, he tried to rape another sister. This time, the sister yelled, screamed, kicked, and fought back, just as the Society recommends. She would not give in. Finally, the Smurf, not getting anywhere, stopped. He said to her, "Your integrity and faithfulness to your God has impressed me. Usually, women just give in. You can go."

Well, the sister's integrity caused the Smurf to take an interest in the truth, and he is now serving as a Ministerial Servant in a congregation in Minnesota. One of the posters from this board personally met him at the last District Assembly.

    Valis,

Some of the Kingdom songs do sound good when played backwards.
