Adding to my previous post, here's an interesting quote concering cognitive-dissonance:

    • We don’t like to believe that we may be wrong, so we may limit our intake of new information or thinking about things in ways that don’t fit within our pre-existing beliefs.

Does that sound like anyone you know?

It's crazy isn't it. The GB goons are so afraid of being wrong that they have actually institutionalized the behavior to "limit our intake of new information or thinking about things in ways that don’t fit within our pre-existing beliefs."

Imagine that, being stuck in a cult simply because we are to prideful to admit we might be wrong. Of course, once a person wakes up to TTATT, then there's the whole "we have your family hostage" element that the WTBTS keeps handy as their mafia-style trump card.

What about the rogues who are involved with the O.S.C.E. Perhaps your elder friend would be interested in that.

He said that whoever wrote those articles was a rogue writer in the organization and at the time these articles would have slipped past "quality control".

    w87 3/1 15 'Upon the Watchtower I Am Standing'

"Each article in both The Watchtower and Awake! and every page, including the artwork, is scrutinized by selected members of the Governing Body before it is printed. Furthermore, those who assist in writing articles for The Watchtower are Christian elders who appreciate the seriousness of their assignment. (Compare 2 Chronicles 19:7.) They spend many hours in researching the Bible and other reference material to make sure that what is written is the truth and that it faithfully follows the Scriptures. (Ecclesiastes 12:9, 10; 2 Timothy 1:13) It is not unusual for one magazine article — that you may read in 15 minutes — to take from two weeks to over a month to prepare".

He continued that there was a chnge in the writing committee after these articles, perhaps because of this rogue writer.

With 56 States from Europe, Central Asia and North America, the OSCE is the world's largest regional security organization. It offers a forum for political negotiations and decision-making in the fields of early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation, and puts the political will of its participating States into practice through its unique network of field missions.

The OSCE has a comprehensive approach to security that encompasses politico-military, economic and environmental, and human aspects. It therefore addresses a wide range of security-related concerns, including arms control, confidence- and security-building measures, human rights, national minorities, democratization, policing strategies, counter-terrorism and economic and environmental activities.

All 56 participating States enjoy equal status, and decisions are taken by consensus on a politically, but not legally binding basis.

***w58 5/1 pp. 262-263 Is Your Religion the Right One? ***

Is your religion an integral part of this world and its politics?

Does it encourage you to be? Of his followers Jesus said: "They are no part of the world just as I am no part of the world."James, a disciple of Jesus, wrote: "Do you not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is constituting himself an enemy of God." "The form of worship that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: . . . to keep oneself without spot from the world." Is your religion without spot from the world? The right one is.—John 17:16; Jas. 4:4; 1:27.

    w68 7/1 p. 391 Is Your Religion the True One? ***

"Jesus Christ showed the proper position of true worshipers when he said: "They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world." (John 17:16) And his disciple James wrote: "Do you not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God?"—Jas. 4:4.

The true religion, therefore, obeys these Scriptural instructions and keeps separate from the world

Does your religion do so? Or is it an integral part of the world and its politics? Does it, for example, encourage participation in political elections? If you really desire God’s blessing, you cannot afford to maintain connections with a religion that disobeys Christ’s instructions on these matters."

15 Or, a person might renounce his place in the Christian congregation by his actions, such as by becoming part of an organization whose objective is contrary to the Bible, and, hence, is under judgment by Jehovah God. (Compare Revelation 19:17-21; Isaiah 2:4.) So if one who was a Christian chose to join those who are disapproved of God, it would be fitting for the congregation to acknowledge by a brief announcement that he had disassociated himselfand is no longer one of Jehovahs Witnesses. (W 9-15-1981)

A requirement for obtaining NGO status is that the applicant agrees to support the ideals of the UN and write a specific number of articles each year praising the UN. Note this following quote in Awake!:

    g91 9/8 p. 10 The United Nations—A Better Way?

Jehovah’s Witnesses firmly believe that the United Nations is going to play a major role in world events in the very near future. No doubt these developments will be very exciting. And the results will have a far-reaching impact on your life. We urge you to ask Jehovah’s Witnesses in your neighborhood for more details on this matter. The Bible clearly paints a picture showing that the United Nations will very shortly be given power and authority. The UN will then do some very astonishing things that may well amaze you. And you will be thrilled to learn that there is yet a better way near at hand that will surely bring eternal peace and security!

    • "In joining the YMCA as a member a person accepts or endorses the general objectives and principles of the organization. He is not simply paying for something he receives, such as when buying things being sold to the public at a store. (Compare 1 Corinthians 8:10; 10:25). Nor is his membership merely an entry pass, as when a person buys a theatre ticket. Membership means that one has become an integral part of this organization founded with definite religious objectives, including the promotion of interfaith. Hence, for one of Jehovah's Witnesses to become a member of such a so-called "Christian" association would amount to apostasy." - w79 1/1 p. 31

    ---

So, if joining the YMCA is viewed by WT as endorsing the "general objectives and principles" of the organization and is "apostasy", then how does it explain becoming an NGO with the UN and the OSCE as not being apostasy or aligning itself with the "objectives and "principles" of those political-military entities?

WT: condemned yet again by its own words and revealed as a hypocrite !!!
