When I was in the sound booth I used to turn the mic on late and off early and sometimes in the middle of a bro or sis I didn't like. I just pretended the equipment was faulty.

In the days of LP record kingdom maladies I'd set the speed from 33/3rd to 75rpm............sometimes no one really noticed.

Those weren't the days!
