C&A - very interesting in so many ways. Shredding GB books - a destruction of history - what one member steering the vast organisation used as his personal influences would no doubt have been of interest.

Very sorry about the parents trying to trap you - hard enough to have a normal relationship with them in the truth without that kind of cult behaviour.

I am glad your wife is with you. Sorry to hear about some other family giving you trouble.

    confusedandalone:

Good interview. I don't think I have enough "meat" or exciting enough information to fill an application out it but it was nice reading yours. Like you, my answer to: "Is there anything you miss about life in the congregation?" would be "NO". I am glad it is over. Some may disagree but as far as I am concerned, it is no loss.

I am puzzled that your JW family is trying to make trouble for you when you have already WALKED out of the religion. What's up with that?

Also, lurkers here should be aware that people who have JW business connections might possibly have them ripped out from under them (or at the very least trouble will be made for them) should they decide to leave the religion!!! Let that be a sobering thought.

Much appreciated man. The similarities in our stories are just chilling to be honest. Even down to our age, number of kids, affection for whiskey, and entrepeneurship.

Honestly, I am still really curious about how your new employee is taking all of this!

Thanks for your post. Don't ever underestimate a good rant. There are some of us who live vicariously through a good ranter!!

Not sure I want to know more about your friendship with cows!

" Shredding GB books - a destruction of history - " This was by far one of the creepier commands I recieved while there. Also when we had to lug a cabinet that contained records about missionarioes in lands taht were ubnderban. We were taking it 5 floors down but they made us shrink wrap it and we were escorted by 4 brothers in the service department... it wasnt that serious.

"I am glad your wife is with you. Sorry to hear about some other family giving you trouble." I can honestly say that since she is with me, this whole situation is far easier to handle and has drawn us so much closer. It really is GREAT TO HAVE you other half with you.

" . I don't think I have enough "meat" or exciting enough information to fill an application out it but it was nice reading yours. " - I feel the same way about my rambling story /past. The funny part is since you lived the story it never seems very interesting. Trust me your story would be greatly appreciated by many here

" Honestly, I am still really curious about how your new employee is taking all of this!" As much as I am allowed to say here: "She is fine with it and has no desire to depart. She is actually very good friends with me and my wife. I will leave the rest to her LOL

" Not sure I want to know more about your friendship with cows!" - The cow friendship is linked to me running out of gas and tking a long walk and coming to a huge realization. The staring cows became my buddies on the long tear of joy and pain filled walk.

Confusedandalone, every time I read your posts I feel a warm smile cross my face. You have been to the mountaintop of the WTBT$ and also experienced the the worst cult treatment. Your grace and humor are charming and you are also wise beyond your years. If and when you leave JWN it will be a loss to this community! Still, I completely understand the wisdom in simply leaving the religion and all its poison behind. You and your precious family are going to have a wonderful life ahead!!! (I wish I were free to put up Christmas decorations)

    3rdgen - I appreciate such kind words :)

If I can make one person smile with all the ranting I do on here I actually feel good LOL!

As a matter of fact, I am going to post up some of my Christmas decorations later so that we can all get into the warm spirit of thje Holidays
