The JWs are the best people myth

I'm sure most of you are all aware of the myth that the WTS perpetrates. They boldly make the claim that Jehovah's Witnesses are the most loving, compassionate and kind people on the face of the Earth. Thats a really interesting statement considering some of the things that I have seen. For example:

Some years ago in the south suburbs of Chicago a JW woman had been taking advantage of her clients. (many of them were also witnesses) Her stealing finally caught up with her and she was exposed in the city's two biggest newspapers and the story was even ran on local news stations. Despite her obvious wrong doing she still felt no remorse, she was eventually disfellowshipped and then later on she attempted to sue the elders for slander. However I'm proud to say that once again she is a reinstated witness with rumours that she is currently involved in another scheme. Is it not obvious that JWs are the most compassionate and loving people on the Earth today?

Still not convinced? Here's another story. A young brother (who we'll called Brother R) in my congregation began dating a young sister (Sister H) who was rumoured to be leading a double life. After a few months of dating, Sister H revealed that she was pregnant. Her mother (older Sister H) was furious and at the next meeting she verbally berated Brother R with some very colorful language.

Brother R admitted that he had sex with young Sister H and also her younger sister but he denied that he had gotten anyone pregnant. This only enraged older Sister H even more and she renewed her verbal attacks against the young brother, this finally provoked Brother R's mom (Sister R) to confront older Sister H. The two sisters had a sharp burst of anger which led to a very interesting fight in the parking lot of the Kingdom Hall.

Finally a few months later young Sister H delivered the baby and it was confirmed that the child did not belong to Brother R. Shortly after that young Brother R and older Sister H were married.

As we can see this heated dispute finally ended in a peaceful manner, are not JWs the most kind and loving people in the world?

Were not the Holy Saints of old involved in an "exchange of words"?

I guess living in a big city like Chicago you hear about a lot of strange situations.

On the north side of Chicago there was a huge scandal involving about 10-20 young people. Apparently someone thought it would be a good idea to have a gathering, only it would'nt be your typical JW gathering it would have one distinguishing feature. You probably guessed it already, that feature was sex. So this young group met at the home of a friends who's parents were out of town. There was a lot of drinking, a lot of joint smoking and of course a lot of sex. But what made this gathering really great was that a few of the brothers decided to video tape the orgy without informing the others. To make a long story short one of the brothers felt guilty later on and confessed to the elders. The elders convinced the young man to bring in the tape so they could (snicker) identify everyone who was involved. As you can imagine many of the people on that tape were disfellowshipped. But the story does'nt end there, rumour has it that one of the elders was so enamored by one of the young sisters on the tape that he made a special visit to lay hands on her. (yeh I know its a bad joke)

Another interesting story involves a subsitute circuit overseer and the daughter of a district overseer. Basically what happened was the sub CO was having sexual problems within his marriage, apparently his wife felt that his initmate requests were to much for her christian conscience. However another married sister felt that she could provide this sub. CO with what he needed. So for a year and a half the sub. CO and the daughter of the DO got together for a good old time. Finally things caught up with the sub. CO when his wife discovered his cable bill for porn channels at which point he confessed everything. I'm not sure what happened to the people involved other than the sub CO got disfellowshipped.

so what stories do you know about

There were some JWs who, when designing their swimming pool, were concerned that the shire had restrictions on pump noise. Thinking that the shire was right, that it was a terrible and perpetual sound, they put the pump where they couldn't hear it [around the back next to the neighbours] - and it's not the first time I've seen it either.

I had finished the post, but I wanted to add - I've never personally known things like that before. The religion is a stink from what I can see.

    IS that for real?
    Woah. Good ol' gossip eh.

An elder in my cong. was discovered 'altering' his tax return and using false receipts. He was NOT told to stand down, nor was he reproved, but he WAS taken off being accounts servant! (ahem I wonder why?)

Another elder in the same cong, aged 52 started taking a young spiritually "weak" sister in the cong out on field service....but with a detour to his house for nooky. She was 17. They both eventually got DF (after she blabbed to someone), but he divorced his wife and they are now MARRIED and REINSTATED.

I think that JWs are human beings like everyone else. They're just high & mighty with it too!

I think that JWs are human beings like everyone else. They're just high & mighty with it too!

More likely, they live in their own pathetic little world.

They like to comdemn the whole world for their faults, knowing that they have the same faults. What a hypocrisy!

They smile at worldlies when behind their facade, they are thinking "Go Eat Shit, worldly, because you're gonna die in Armageddon".

They are friendly and polite to non-JWs so that they can convert them and after the non-JW baptizes, these same JWs will show their ugly fangs and claws and the terror starts.

Them, JWs, are like a bunch of ungrateful spoiled little brats when they don't have money, they can get money from the government, but yet keeps on condemning the government. When people like rrmayer and myself go out fighting for freedom, they condemn us yet they enjoy the freedom to practice their religion.

When we, worldlies, critize them and their doctrines, they cry "Persecution".

When we worldlies try to befriend them, they say "NO, we cannot have friends outside of our religion."

Without a lot of these freedoms and living with fear and under the law, JWs are not exactly the "Happiest" people on the planet.

With a mindset thinking on Armageddon and the attitude of "Join us or you will die at Armageddon", JWs are not the most "loving and compassionate" people on the planet.

With a mindset of not helping and shunning the DF'ed, JWs are not the "kindest" people on the planet.

All of that is just an Act to make believe.

Remember, if it looks to good to be true, it is FALSE.

Sister Y was married to Brother Z. Brother Z is afflicted with a terrible degenerative condition. After some years Sister Y's love for Brother Z begins to fade. He's just NOT what she wanted.

Brother X, Z's BEST friend, visits often to "check up" on Brother Z. You know, to see how he's doing. Brother X has had marrital problems of his own for years.

Anyway, as you probably can conclude, Brother X leaves his wife and "steals" Brother Z's wife from him. X and Y are dissfellowshipped. They do their time on the "outside" but make all meetings, knowing reinstatement is on the way.

Conclusion: Brother X and Sister Y are back "in", married. Their in "good standing" with privilages. New home, many "friends", vacations, money, etc.

Brother Z sits in a wheelchair. 1 or 2 good friends who help out alot. His congregation IGNORES him. They NEVER visit. They don't even go out in service with him. He's a good guy. Never did them wrong. He just happened to make the mistake of being associated with and marrying one of the "best people" on the earth.

But, if a JW is practicing sin (either openly or hidden), then he is not a "real" Jehovah's Witness. So, among "real" JW's there is no such thing as sin, because as soon as one commits a sin, they are no longer a JW.

It's just a little word game they play to justify their stupid ideas.

Here's another word game: If a person in the organization practices sin for a long time (perhaps decades), while being apparently blessed and receiving priviledges, and then their sin gets uncovered, it is because "no matters are hidden from Jehovah", and he "uncovers all sin in his own due time". So, the organization appears to be either totally clean all the time, or in the process of cleaning itself. On the other hand, if he is never found out, well, no one knows so the organization appears clean, anyway.

Besides, they kick out sinners. This means that they appear to be sinless - not because they are any better than the rest of society, just because they don't count any sinners as members.
