Highlights from the zone overseer visit of brother Gerrit Losch to Norway

After Armageddon there Will be no more Norway, Sweden, USA. We will have an administration center in the new world. Ezekiel 48:35. We are building now a place in Warwick (we don’t like the name, we hope rename it Peacewick)there will be a place for about 1000 Bethelites. If this is the new Adm. Center we don’t know. We do know there will be a Administrative Center in the new world.

Perhaps they should rename it to “Shammah”.

Ezekiel 48:35, footnote — What does the city in Ezekiel’s vision represent? “Jehovah-Shammah” is situated in “profane” land, indicating that it must represent something earthly. The city seems to represent the earthly administration that benefits those who will make up the righteous “new earth.” (2 Peter 3:13) Having gates on each side illustrates its openness. The overseers among God’s people are to be approachable.

    w07 8/1 p. 11 par. 3

So it goes from "seems to represent" to "there will be" an administration center? How aloof must these Eight be to declare such a vague text represents their new building in Warwick? (Reminds me of the . . . from Scranton to Hoboken Terminal . . . story)

Thank you Nevada, Petra and Atlantis!

The World headquarters is nowhere as large as the complexes in Wallkill or Patterson.

Aside from a visitors center with some displays and videos there won't be anything to see unless you are visiting someone there.

    label licker-

where did somebody said the watchtower logo is disappearing from the magazines?

Even the new world headquarters will have a little watchtower icon on one of the buildings!

Do the Warwick city administrators know that the dubs are a high-control/cultish/family destroying organization?

1.2 million sf complex. 100,000 sf of office space. All the rest is support: kitchen, infirmary, laundry, residence, recreation, parking, maintenance, etc, etc, etc.

From what I understand- the whole point is office space. The ineffeciency of Bethel just gets worse!

As re branding continues within this slick organisation, there does appear to be a muted sidelining of the Watchtower logo. Probably the main reason is the strong modern negative connotation as a watchtower being a place designed for prisoner surveillance. Penitentiaries have centrally located watchtowers to monitor prisoners' activites, including - ahem - stopping attempts to escape. Sound familiar? Ouch. Not a nice, friendly image to feature as the main brand of your reportedly "loving" religious organisation - especially given the telling publicity about the organisation's authoritarian and harsh policies. No, I suspect they will never formally ditch the logo - just give it the gradual sideways shuffle. Look at the huge - make that HUGE -promotion of the new look Internet savvy way the organisation boldly promotes itself as JW.org. The brave new world is here already.

DATA-DOG: Have you seen this thread?

Concerning the promotion of "JW.ORG", keep in mind that putting the URL front and center is the best way to make sure JWs are going to the right address. Several years ago when the Society had several addresses, it was easy to get confused.
